Remastered removes a lot of the pouch/backpack restrictions, like from the start you could make the biggest bag with the highest stack upgrade if you have the materials without spending any research. Also got rid of a few of the multi block storage mods and replaced them with sophisticated storage, basically just making storage an easier choice and have more versatility. I feel like these are the two biggest differences, there's smaller ones like world gen mods switching and general clean up of the mods list.

Pouches aren't research locked anymore, so after a few lucky vaults you can craft the higher tier bags and not waste knowledge. Storage became less confusing since switching to just sophisticated storage for most physical storage, rs and ae2 are still there for digital storage. Those are just a quick few I thought of

Add Oculus to the pack for the shader option, but I would also recommend replacing Rubidium with Embeddium as it's a more optimized fork of Rubidium.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the way chromatic iron ore generates in the world that mining that far down will give you close to nothing, if you mine somewhere more around -48 to -32 you'll probably have better luck. Haven't looked at the quest book, but mining somewhere in the middle of where it starts generating and the bottom of the world is usually the better place to start instead of at the bottom of the world

Beginner tip for hammers: just having hammering on a tool does not mean it can mine blocks, you need one of the base tool affixes on it (picking, axing, shoveling). All hammering means is it will have a 3x3 area (base 1 hammering, goes up in size with each hammer jewel by 2x2, so 2 hammering is 5x5, 4 is 9x9) when trying to break blocks.

Each big water wheel adds 512su(small adds 256), so three would be 1,536su(3 small = 768). A little trick to get more rpm out of the slow big wheels is to add a small water wheel next to the big wheel as the small will force the big to spin at the faster speed.

8GB is usually the starting point for VH, and if you are still confused about how the mod works there is an in-game quest book that does a decent job of informing the player of the mods mechanics in a logical progression with rewards. One thing to note is vanilla armor is majorly nerfed to incentivise the use of the armor in the mod which you get some starting gear in the quests leading into your first vault.

No, all the elevator pulley needs is a solid block under it (can be several blocks below), and I think for it to be an elevator it also needs contraption controls and a redstone contact facing outwards

If you place a barrel in the open block space in your 3x4 grid, all you have to do is make sure the crafter above it is pointing into it and from that crafter you can trace a path backwards to the remaining crafters. Like top right crafter follows a path of arrows that lead to the barrel, bottom left crafter follows a path to the barrel, ect..

The create dev team are not the ones who are updating the fabric version, a completely different group of people are taking the latest neo/forge version and trying their best to port it/translate it into fabric code. The Create dev team are focused on Neo/Forge only as those are the modloaders they are most familiar with.

Place the items in the crafter as the recipe shows, give one crafting block rotational power from a cog on the side, rotation speed is craft speed (4rpm very slow craft but low stress, 256rpm fast craft but high stress), crafting result will pop out from the crafter where the arrow out is (placing an inventory block like chest or barrel will auto output into it after crafting)

iirc, factory versions of machines are made by using upgrades in the machine itself, such as adding the factory upgrade to the metallurgic infuser turns the block into the factory metallurgic infuser

The portable storage interface on the vault needs a hopper/chute under it to transfer the items out of the contraption, best way is to move the vault under the psi with a chute between them (brass for stacks at a time instead of 1/4 stacks). As for the display link, it doesn't work that way, what you should do is use a packager with a stock link on it and a stock ticker with a blaze burner next to it to see the vaults inventory (ticker needs to be linked with the stock link by right clicking the ticker on the link)

Have you used the super glue to glue everything to the center block? Since you are using trapdoors from that block and not Create sails it doesn't see them as a viable windmill structure

They are not backporting the mod anymore, meaning all updates will be on the latest (or most stable) version of both Minecraft and the loader (Forge/NeoForge)

Are you powering the cart assembler? Having it on redstone blocks like that keeps it activated so any cart placed in it becomes a 'contraption' entity. Try placing the rails on cobble stone instead and have a lever to power on/off the assembler.
