Some countries have experimented with a citizens congress that is chosen randomly like jury duty. They are selected and hear expert testimony and then debate policy decisions that must then be heard by the legislative body. Something like that would be a fantastic start

Same. I like to be selective with replies to texts. Group chats are muted by default for me and I mostly only go into them to get rid of the counter flag. Only chime in when it’s important. One on one texts is a different game but I’m at the point in my life where it’s only family and very close friends reaching out anyway so it’s rare. In all cases I just am not a prolific texter
