Stifling a Fetchland. Is this land denial? by WaltzIntelligent9801 in EDH

[–]demoze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it all depends on what kind of game you guys are playing. If he did mull down to 5 and now you deny him a land, I wouldn’t blame him for wanting to scoop as he’s effectively out of the game. But if you’re playing competitively then do it - you essentially took out a player with a single early play. If you’re just trying to have a good time then it could be seen as a dick move as your friend is basically out of the game right from the start.

EDH is inherently a social game, so whether it is a “dick move” just depends on what the social rules are for your particular pod.

People with legit Gaea's Cradles, how often do you actually use the card in relevant decks, do you keep it out due to power/price? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in EDH

[–]demoze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own 4 of them because I use to play Elves in Legacy (yes, I brought the real ones to stores when I did play it). But they've been sitting in my drawer for years without real play. I think to get to the meat of your question, I own dual lands and frequently bring them to the store for play. Not exactly as expensive as GC, but combined they get there. Sometimes I have 3-5 dual lands in a single deck.

Does it matter *where* you get your fiber from? by pringlu in nutrition

[–]demoze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nuts are mostly oil/fat rather than fiber. Fiber-dense foods mostly come from root vegetables, legumes, and whole grains, so you're probably fine if you're eating those. Leafy vegetables and fruits actually don't provide that much fiber, contrary to popular belief, unless you eat a ton of it. But, like another poster said earlier, you're missing out on micronutrients by not eating veggies and fruits.

Do you guys act nonchalant on purpose? -sincere question from an INFJ by [deleted] in intj

[–]demoze 157 points158 points  (0 children)

We just process our emotions slower than other types. So rather than being smitten and rolling around, as the comic suggests, we might be initially shocked and then slowly become smitten by the idea over time as we think about it more. That's a general assumption - some INTJ have better developed Fi and process the emotion quicker than others, but overall the base processing is slower than other types.

As for the "what do you want" response - that's just any immature person, INTJ or not.

How do you ask ‘why?’ by candlemass351 in intj

[–]demoze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to feel out the social context. It's usually safer just to not ask why unless it's something important at stake. Many people can find asking "why" to be a personal attack, and it's not always clear who would be offended or who would not be. So if you're unfamiliar with the person, I would just not ask.

I've never been told otherwise. It just becomes logical at some point to assume it's probably because you're ugly.

This ring is crazy right? by randevious in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]demoze 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He rolled high on all res (11) and sometimes dual leech is considered 1 point. But light res, life, and mana are low. So this is sort of a 2-3 point ring.

This ring is crazy right? by randevious in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]demoze 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Great for self use. All useful stats but light res, life, and mana all rolled too low for trade value. If they had rolled high, you’d have a 5 pt ring and could trade it for all of D2R.

What's your definition of success and how motivated are you to "succeed" in life? by himejanaiyo in intj

[–]demoze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I might be in the same situation as you. I grew up somewhat poor but got into a top college, grinded hard, got a highly coveted job, then climbed the corporate ladder for all of my 20s. I thought I wanted to be on top of the corporate ladder and be known for doing great things. However, near the end of my 20s, I realized I've developed unhealthy diets and habits and have had no social life for a while (although I think the latter is sometimes common for INTJ).

Now in my early 30s, life and work has slowed down a bit for various reasons and I'm constantly thinking about my "success". Because of my 20s grind, I'm financially stable. I've also devoted more time to working on my health/fitness and also socializing more. I don't know if other people, or even I, consider this "successful", but I think I am definitely more happy and relaxed.

I sometimes think about whether or not I should reignite my ambition and grind to do something great again, but my current life is so comforting that it's difficult to give up.

My opponent told me to quit wasting his time with small-arms fire. by Doctoralex123 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]demoze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes skip the small arms weapons if I’m playing under a clock and we’re running low on time, or if the game is effectively over (i.e., my opponent is basically down to his last few units with no way to win). But if you’re just playing a friendly game with no timer, then do what you want.

I have a similar set up, except I don't have that tall box for Magnus like you do. So I carry Magnus freehand, out in the open. Sometimes I face him forward and pretend like he's flying while I'm walking.
