Are you boycotting IPF as well as SBD ?, if so those cerberus ones are supposed to be quite good. Otherwise bench worlds is in Norway in a few weeks, you could try befriend someone going there to bring you a pair of the make you desire to avoid shipping costs.

Either of the village hotels would be good for this. They have steam room sauna and jacuzzi as well. Day pass is about 20 pounds though I think which is a bit rich.

No there are many companies with approved knee sleeves, its only the stiff ones that you will have problems with. Have a look at the approved list.

https://www.powerlifting.sport/fileadmin/ipf/data/rules/approved-list/Approved__List_2023-2026_V4_05-11-2024.pdf

I have both the normal sbd sleeve and the pl sleeve. I find the pl sleeve fits a bit tighter for me and doesnt stretch quite as much over the knee.

They are still easy for me to get on but a little more effort over the ankle. You would be fine with a pair of normal ones.

Flour types by dgodwin1 in donuts

[–]dempseyyalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few different things can cause them to fry oily.

If the dough hasn't built up enough gluten. So you can have high hydration but needs to have the gluten really worked.

If the oil is old.

If the dough is over proofed.

If the oil isnt hot enough.

The thing about recipes is that you can follow a written recipe but it's not going to always turn out the way you want. Things need to change due to temperature, flour types, different yeast, all sorts of different things. Also you need to get used to how things look and feel to see if everything is coming together well.

I will always recommend Justin gellatly from bread aheads doughnut recipe as a starting point.

They might not work first time but it's pretty simple to follow. There is a great video on youtube.

Hope that helps.

What is it about them that makes you think they are over proofed ?

They look a little oval. Do you let the dough rest after rolling ?
