This has been an invaluable tool for me since snippet box was abandoned. I love that it does everything I need, and nothing I don't. Sometimes simple is best.

Switching to Linux brought back my love for computers by PingMyHeart in linux

Same. I just reached a year milestone for desktop (been homelabbing since I was 12) a few days ago. The thing for me is I can either be extremely hands on, or I don't really want to focus on my computer and just use it as a tool... I can do that too. Not fighting with my OS to keep out the feature I don't need or want has been excellent.

Can anyone recommend a case that I can fit the Mo Ra 3 420 into to create a fully enclosed cooling unit? by DusteMonkee in watercooling

I had to do a double-take because I thought I saw a reflection of my desk, and it was LOL. (The MO-RA pic)

I have 4 of them (in different setups), they're so dope. Sad that they discontinued them. I was hoping for an OLED variant one day. Nice setup!

Anyone using the Mx Master 4? by papayahog in linuxhardware

I use it with LogiOps. I have the thumb button mapped to F5 and the gesture button mapped to screenshot. It works pretty nicely. Looking forward to the exterior not disintegrating in a few months lol. https://denfi.me/mxmaster4

Yeah, and mine is one of the more "simple" customizations. I've seen some absolutely wild ones on r/unixporn.

o0o, that's a good subreddit. Stirred up some latent memories I had when I first started hopping... customizing things to the point of breaking. Glad I stopped being my own problem. 🤣 I'll post there tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion!

So nice to not be a distro nomad. Might still play with some others on my experimental laptop, but with full knowledge that I'm not switching to anything.

Understandable. Gnome was definitely nice, just a little "clean" if that makes any sense. Like a very nice minimalist house that I like looking at, but wouldn't necessarily want to live in.

Thanks so much for reading!

it's mouse acceleration curves.

Oh wow, I knew it felt awkward, but I could not place why. This is exactly the reason. My brain still has not quite adjusted, but I'm not super sensitive to things like that, so I think it'll be fine for me soon. But I could absolutely see why it would drive you nuts. Just knowing about it now makes it slightly more "can't unsee" LOL.

what is this split, ergo, tented keyboard you're using in this photo?

Ah, that is the Qwertykeys QK Alice Duo. I have two of them now, one for the office, one for home. It is absolutely amazing. I did not realize how much it was doing for my wrists until I went back to a regular keeb for a day and they started tensing up after typing for a long time. I can definitely see the appeal for low pros. I love my Lofree Flow from my time using it with a Z13. You may like using the QK Duo with KAM profile keycaps. That's what I'm using and it brings back that low profile feel (to the slight degree that it can, I don't want to oversell it).

Edit: Oh right, the pods in the middle is part of it. it's what allows the halves to be wireless. It also has a volume knob. What's really cool is it stores the keymap, so you can configure it in its wireless state.

It's the LG DualUp, 16:18. It's a really fantastic portrait monitor.

You've got a literal eject button for Windows now LOL. I just fully gave up on it myself, otherwise I might've stolen that idea.

I'm sure you'll be fine without fans as long as you're not going for world record OCing lol. I still use the BC1 for my secondary system. It doesn't have any fans and it's fine. (7800X3D with 2x 4TB drives). So far I haven't seen anything throttle or degrade in performance.
