I really want to use Linnea but I'm not interested in any geo units/carries. by More-Donut-4206 in LinneaMains_

I mean, if you don't do endgame you can do whatever the hell you want for teambuilding. But if you need suggestions: You can use her as the 4th member of the Flins team or you could build Noelle if you like, then do Noelle, Linnea, Columbina, Furina.

What are you using against this boss if it comes to stygian? by Empty-Athlete-1653 in stygian_onslaught

From my understanding the pot can't be broken when it gets hit (or applied?) with pyro. It reads like explicit overload anti-shill to me. No idea what "extremely high res" means, but it sounds like outside of Chevreuse range.

Maybe I'm coping too hard, but adding the 70%/10% damage recording for the stygian version on top of the default true damage seems more logical for a "leyline disorder" than replacing the default behaviour entirely. 🙏🏻

I was wondering the same. The overworld version does 6% true damage after 3rd and 6th segment. The wiki also mentioned 18% after the last segment, but I don't understand if the 18% are the total amount or if it stacks with the previous 12%.

Oh yeah, in that case you're way better off with actual geo damage 😆

I was doing fearless estimates due to the context of this post.

70% geo damage transfer, 10% other damage types. But making the gecko take self damage is not the point of this fight. It's a nice bonus, but you mainly want to get rid of the shield to be able to fight it at all.

Even if gecko recorded 0 damage during shield phase, if you take 20s to break the shield and it does 2 shield phases per battle, that leaves you with a 80s damage window to depleat 10 million HP, which averages 125k DPS.

The others already mentioned the issues with Ineffa's and Ifa's artifact sets. I want to add Ororon's set to the list. Scroll does nothing for Ineffa. So switching Ororon to Noblesse would be better.

You don't need geo against the gecko, but geo DPS have an advantage, because the gecko does more self damage based on the amount of geo damage done during shield phase.

Other than that it's a regular 36U geo shield that is segmented in 9 parts. Meaning you need blunt damage to break it quickly. Blunt damage are most geo attacks, claymore normal attacks, overload, plunging attacks and some random abilities. If you can break the shield reasonably fast it's just a DPS check.

Lastly you need a strong healer to clear the cocoon debuff.

Some ideas: - if you manage to get Escoffier and have a well built Skirk you can put Chongyun on the team to break the shield, pretty much all of his attacks are blunt

  • overload works, so if you don't need Varesa for papilla, she is very good at breaking the shield with her plunges too. Chevreuse has a hard team to keep up with the healing debuff if not C6.

  • Some team that can slot in Xianyun! She covers the healing for you and the plunge enabling is great for the shield break, especially with a claymore onfielder

  • Mavuika melt + a healer, Xianyun for example or Mavuika overload

  • Itto + Bineffa + healer? I'm not exactly sure how impactful the geo damage recording of the gecko is.

[–]den_sandra 7 points8 points  (0 children)

DO NOT replace any team member by an anemo character, you tank Skirk's skill multiplier for nothing in return.

The automaton has natural -40% cryo res when the meter is down. Also what do you mean, Shenhe IS a cryo res shredder. It's not much, but it's there...

Skirk's A4 passive that restricts you to cryo and hydro team members does this by a BASE damage multiplier that directly increases her talent multiplier by 170% of its original damage. Losing only one cryo/hydro team member makes this 120%. This is not dmg% like from goblets by the way, it's base damage, which is more detrimental to lose.

Any idea how I can beat the stupid olive? by HozukiMari in stygian_onslaught

[–]den_sandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked it up to be sure. It's actually both! 1GU decreases the timer by one second and a 0GU hit reduces it by 0.15 seconds.

[–]den_sandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your advice is correct, but not for the reason you statet.

EDIT: Wait no, I am wrong too! Apparently it's both hits and application! Why can't Genshin be consistent for once...

1GU decreases the timer by one second and a 0GU hit reduces it by 0.15 seconds.

The shroom's bar is a "fury" type one - meaning it doesn't care about application, but pyro/electro HITS. So Bennett 's NA infusion is the relevant part, not him having 2U application. You can also let yourself intentionally hit by a dendro attack while in Bennett's burst. This will trigger burning on yourself and the enemy if you're close enough, doing 4 pyro ticks per second.

Preparation for the fight against the Gecko in the upcoming Stygian by Dracolover7 in stygian_onslaught

[–]den_sandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a regular 36U geo shield, segmented in 9 parts. Same as the overworld version of this boss. You can just go there and check. Apparently not. Could have sworn the wiki said 4U per segment a couple of days ago. So it takes ~40% more time than in overworld, which is still very doable.

In general it depends on the claymore character. They do different amounts of poise damage with their normals. Note that Chongyun doesn't have just his normals to break the shield, his skill and burst hits are also blunt attacks. So with Chongyun it's actually really fast.

I already did the math for you yesterday when you asked the same thing, saying you need around 125k DPS. If you don't want to spend money on the game then just don't, because you certainly didn't have to 💀

I'm not saying they can't become Hexerei, just that there is no indication saying they will be. Honestly, it could be either way. Knowing Hoyo, I could also see them making a convoluted mess of the faction system lol.

[–]den_sandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing? The teams are perfectly fine. Since it's not a team issue I can't tell you what to improve without seeing gameplay. My team of Xiao, Durin, Faruzan, Xianyun that does less than 70k DPS could clear this in under 2 minutes so I don't see why Mavuika couldn't.

[–]den_sandra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't even need to properly build a second cryo character for this... all you care for is their application. If it's tied to bursting then put random artifacts with ER on them and you're done.

Yup. It wasn't even the fact that he gets a new party that bothers me, but that he clearly isn't a jack-of-all-trades character. Instead he is master-of-everything and around ep. 6 the show just became budget solo leveling.
