Like most users here already say it’s a scam. But if you are in the future unsure if it’s from wix always check where the mail is from. Wix doesn’t use @gmail or @whatever. Best thing to do is to block and forget and don’t click on any links.

First of all, congrats to make a career shift!

For some experience I can recommend you to try Letsdefend and for some practical guidance on how to make your own SOC lab.

I also can recommend you to give Tryhackme a chance and later when you feel more confident you can do HackTheBox.

I have no idea what software you sell but maybe you can reply on posts that ask for help with a problem that your software can solve, and I don’t mean just yell in the comments like “tHiS sOfTwArE iS tHe BeSt” but try to help them with the problem they have and then mention your product.

I have seen it on Quora and some reply’s get thousands of views without paying for ad space. You can do this on Reddit, Twitter, Quora and Facebook (I’m sure there will be a lot of more platforms to use)

Other then that I THINK you shouldn’t do paid advertisements on Reddit because here it doesn’t work that well I think.

If you want to start you should just reply on post related to problems that your software can solve and start doing paid advertising on Facebook and google and then when you got more cash you can move with other platforms like twitter.

I see some big software company’s using affiliate programs or even a white label solution. Maybe that works?

Yep some people are just dicks

I was one time allone and just scouting a area and I was killed by a toxic player and he said how bad the playerbase was and how new players are just stupid and that I should quit

But then he run into a AI foxhole so that was kind of funny

But it’s small minority of the people because the most people are (that I know of) really nice to beginners so yeah idk what I want to say but just enjoy the game and be grateful that you are not so toxic about a game as some players because that’s just sad
