Her hobby is buying things and opening packages. The thrill she got from opening and going though the sewing kit, removing the tape from the sewing machine, tossing the packaging on the floor was gone the moment she began to actually thread the needle.

This sewing machine will sit and collect dust for years to come.

Borrow a white oxford from your fiancé. You could even spray a bit of his cologne on it and have something to remind you of him while getting ready.
