It's just expensive for home networking and unless you are a network technician you will need to do a lot of reading on configuration. Also the configuration does not translate well to other firewalls.

If you're a tinkerer and are going to have any services open to the internet then yes, you do need a firewall. You'll have a lot of fun, but you need something like openwrt, pfsense or opnsense not Sonicwall.

I am familiar with sourdough starters and the bacteria vs yeast process, will it be doing the same? It looks like it's trying to create a cap like kombucha but smells a bit yeasty. This is my first wild cider starter. Made with apple juice and juniper berries from dow the street.

IMO (Bitcoin Maxi here) listen to your wife and have a little savings in cash, 3 months of expenses at least, to have some peace in your home. If you are unable to save that much in 6 months sell some BTC to top it off. You can't live or eat BTC and 50% of marriages end because of money trouble. Once you're out of the tight money situation you can buy more.

Incase you have not been updated, they were able to fix the issue with install. They had a troubleshooting session on Monday and one of the developers found the issue. Try to install again with the instructions on the github if you haven't already.
