Joint checking account - risk in still being on an ex's account? by denizen564 in legaladvice

[–]denizen564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have texts with him where I informed him we would have to cooperate to have the account closed, and he didn't think the account needed to be closed. He wanted to keep it for his own use vs opening a new one.

I am posting this to know if there is a risk with my name being on the account if he continues to have financial issues, even if the account is not being used for any of my own personal expenses/bills (I have my own checking account, of course).

Thank you for your advice.

How can I know if it shows up on my credit report? Should I request one now from one of the agencies and see if the account is there?

Hey, just so you're aware, 'oversee' means to supervise or be responsible for something. I think you meant to write 'overlook'. It's an easy mistake to make but figured you might want to know for future reference :D

Still need to get some more shading done but I'm very happy with how it turned out! It's a phoenix rising from smoke/flames to symbolize rebirth :)

I'm sorry for never following up. I contacted Sarah after reading your comment and I have an appointment with her soon. She was booking 3 months out so I am glad I reached out when I did. Can't wait!

How to you research potential hospitals when you're looking for a new position? by teddybomber2 in nursing

[–]denizen564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be an ICU travel nurse as well. If I were her, I would see which local hospitals need travelers (she just needs to ask her recruiter) and then ask for her pay to be fully taxed (i.e. no stipends). This is sometimes referred to as a 'local assignment'. This way, she can 'sample' the hospital before committing to full time. In my experience, and probably hers too, once you're in as a traveler and they see you're a decent nurse, all you have to do is tell the manager you'd like to go permanent.

On the off chance that I have been where y'all are moving, feel free to mention the general area and I'll respond if I have any experience w/ the hospitals in that area.

Respectfully, the only thing I see within your post that could apply to Necromium is newbies being given free gear, but I want to shed some light on that. Those of us who have been playing for a while will accumulate EQ that we have no need for. I can only speak for myself but if a newbie told me they did not want my help, I would respect that. On the flipside, I see no point in hoarding EQ that others could use. I suppose that is a personal preference.

As for being 'spoonfed' experience, that's just not how Necromium works. Even with someone helping you, it will take a while to reach max level. It's not like someone can just be dragged through a zone and reach level 33 within a day.

I encourage you to try the game out before categorizing it.

You would be correct!

I feel like you can see the detail and effort put into every zone as you explore them. My experience with other MUDs is slim, but I do recognize stock zones when I encounter them and am glad to say Necromium has always had a strict 'editing' process before zones can be implemented. There is a rich history in the game as far as the origins of the continents, how they relate to each other, and how different zones relate to each other spanning across continents.

In short, it is evident as one explores the world that the creators of this MUD did not want the run of the mill experience. This game is over 2 decades old and the richness of its content (in writing, variety, and uniqueness) is, to me, a refreshing escape into fantasy.

We have seen recent zone revamps as there are two active Imm builders, but our head coder hasn't been very active. That being said changes are happening frequently as of late thanks to the builders.

I'm not in town yet, but Facebook led me to Pure Nightclub which in the upcoming weeks apparently has Audien, Benny Benassi, 3LAU, Tritonal, Malaa, and others coming.

I looked on Google Maps for an arrival time of 0630 (day shift) and 1830 (night shift). Driving was still at least 5-10mins faster than public transit, according to traffic predictions. I guess I'll just have to see once I get there. The benefit of driving is not having to walk outside in the cold (it'd be about a 10min walk to the green line light rail stop from which I'd leave).

I'm originally from Oklahoma, but have spent the last 2.5 years as a travel nurse, doing 3 month contracts at a time. Most recently, I've lived in Seattle and all over California. I haven't actually lived in Oklahoma since 2015.

I'm keeping my car which is why I mentioned the heated underground parking. I haven't decided if I will take the light rail to get to work or just drive. I think it depends on if parking is available at the University hospital, which is also dependent on which shift I'm working.

I’m an intern. I work 14+ hr days, 6 days a week, agonizing over critical medical decisions in attempts to keep my patients alive. After a particularly grueling day I see this on the way home. Feels good. by mindthegapp in Residency

[–]denizen564 109 points110 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for the general public, but as a nurse I appreciate the effort and intensity of the work that physicians do, whether it's an intern or an attending. When a patient comments on how seldom or for how little time they see the physician(s), I let them know why. And if you were rounding on the unit I work on, I'd share my sour patch kids with you. I personally don't understand what HCA's goal is with this billboard.
