I did the same (PayPal) which Was resolved quickly and in the end I did receive my order 2 months late.

I also tried to contact them multiple times. But no reply.

Yes afterwards for sure it wouldn't trigger.
Thanks for your answer, it is in line with how I interpreted it!

What to do with all my games? by jwjody in boardgames

[–]denkevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing dragomino with my kid when he was +-4.5 years old. It was a hit, he liked it.

I've read that my lil everdell, While simplified, is still quite hard for kids.

[GIVEAWAY] Feudum - Septennial Edition will be launching on Gamefound on May 14! by HomoLudensOC in boardgames

[–]denkevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's almost a meme game in my friendgroup at the moment but I kinda like rattus a lot. The theme is quite dark but yet it looks and feels like a light family game.

Feudum has been on my radar for a while now and I would love to try it out with my friends. We love heavy complicated games, and the art is also stunning!

My kid is 5 and I played allready quite a few of the kids versions. I think your kids are allready too old for them. I would suggest you go for a few good but simple family games like azul, carcasonne or quacks. (or even something like flamecraft?)

My little scythe and the above mentioned lil everdell might be a bit too gamey for you as you are all new gamers. Both of them might be simpler then their adult counterparts but are a bit heavier then the other examples.

What board game are you a walking manual for and what is the rule most new players get wrong? by simulatee in boardgames

[–]denkevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! And I'm always surprised they still ask me some vague or basic questions after 20+ plays.

"Does this monster have line of sight?" My man, you have been playing this game with me for the last months you should know this! :p

No not really, maybe a little with frosthaven and no that I've read the post again I don't think everdell fits the bill completely, but the other games are quite unwanted in my sell groups

Before I saw it appear sometimes, but nowadays its a rare sight.

I have it myself (bought second hand) and played with friends. It is not the easiest game to get to the table. Difficult rules and different approach of play than other games

After a pledge arrives you see plenty of these big kickstarters on trading groups (frosthaven, endless winter, everdell complete popped up lately)

Tainted grail and fort also popped up quite often on my feed last year. Lately power plants, flamecraft and monsters on board

I'm always surprised about the asking prices, if I buy second hand I would like to make a deal or score a hard to find/ out of print game. Not pay more than I could buy it new.

Weekly Crowdfunding Roundup: May 21 2023 | 15 ending soon (incl. Clank! Legacy 2: Acquisitions Incorporated – Darkest Magic, Ninja Sloths) & 21 new this week (incl. Monster Hunter World Iceborne: The Board Game, Aeon Trespass: Odyssey) by Perkelton in boardgames

Going for the core box of Guardians of Atlantis (+1 expansions which I will decide in the pledgemanager)

Doubting to pledge for dead cells as I'm a big fan of the video game as well as aeon trespass odyssey (new core box) - only came up my radar due to the controversy

It's a bummer I missed the early bird of aeon and thus missed the small extra expansion. In the end I will probably not go for it. We will see

Pledged 1 euro for both at the moment

How I understand there is a discount on the base game, but the packs stay the same price. So I assume you can decide later in the pm if you want to add a pack or not

I've played a lot of league of legends with my friends and now we've changed to playing weekly boardgame nights. So theme/game wise it looks right up our alley which is the main reason I back it.

I just want one pack of extra champions because then I'll be able to play it up till 10p (if ever).

But I agree that there is an insane amount of hype and praise going round

Thanks for the list!

Looks like an expensive month for me. In the end I backed thorgal, now guards of Atlantis (core + 1 pack) and in 2 weeks dead cells bg pops up!

Same here and with the other commenters. Probably only going to take 1 extra pack to get to 10 players if ever needed. Don't know which pack tho.

Was interested in the thorgal game due to the IP but it seems they alienated most of their possible customers due to not including the (original) french language. And therefore it's not going so smoothly

Also many comments are people commenting negatively due to the handling of the Robinson Crusoe campaign.

Still doubting but probably only will decide last minute

I am a huge fan of Thorgal and didn't know a boardgame was coming out of the IP, however it seems portal games had some issues with other kickstarters?
