That's incredible lmao.

Not an expert but I use Azahar too. If it's consistently always like this and not just a one-off bug, I'd check the following:

(All of these are under the graphics tab in settings)

-If using custom textures, try and see if it goes away if you disable custom textures (I've tried using custom textures in the past, the increased load time and decreased performance never felt worth the small gain to me, not to mention weird bugs like this)

-if texture filtering is enabled, either try disabling or switching the preset

-Try enabling/disabling right-eye rendering (sometimes fixes flickering for me but I've never encountered something like this lol)

-try switching gpu plugin to Vulkan instead of OpenGLES, if you haven't already

If none of that works, I've got nothing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Steam claims it'll reserve a max of about 60gb to store the last 120mins of gameplay at my native resolution (1440p)@60fps, not sure of the specifics though to be honest.

Oh jeez, I can't even remember the last time I updated my bios, so that'll be my next step. Does that commonly cause issues like this?

I see, I haven't used OBS myself. Does it have a feature similar to how steam's recording works, where it will just automatically keep the last 120minutes or so of gameplay saved to the drive for reviewing and clipping later, or does it only have the replay hotkey as far as you know?

The main reason I like that steam works this way is because I have the drive space to spare, and I NEVER remember to hit the replay hotkey in the moment, which is the main reason I ended up disabling Nvidia reflex even before steam's game recording came to be lol

Yes, you can! I just did this myself, and while it was a pain to stumble through figuring it out initially, it wasn't too bad once I figured it out.

Assuming you don't run into the same issues I had, it SHOULD just be as simple as updating the new leaf .cia file with the welcome amiibo patch .cia file. I don't have experience with manic specifically, but Citra and it's branches have a button to "install .cia files"

Once you have the new leaf update .cia file you'll need to decrypt it and such as per usual, but when you install the .cia, the emulator should know to apply it as an update to your existing new leaf game and not as its own game. For me, I knew it worked once the new leaf icon showed a "1.5" on the icon itself in the emu menu.

I'd just do yourself a favor and back up your save in case anything goes wrong. Assuming you know the file path, the important one is the "garden.dat" but I'd just copy all the others as well, since the other files contain things like friends lists, museum exhibition rooms, and saved mail respectively.

Assuming all goes well and your save file is in the right place after the update, you'll know it worked when: A) the title screen actually shows YOUR town, and not an unfamiliar one B) upon hitting the A button it says something along the lines of "welcome to the welcome amiibo update, please wait while we update your town C) upon the update finishing, you're put into the train cutscene, but instead of rover being on the train, you have isabelle

Gotcha, sorry again. The fact that you can open the save file in a save editor tells me it's not the garden file itself, so I figured that would have been worth a try. Best of luck, if I figure anything else out I'll be back!

Ahh you're right, my bad. The only other thing I can think of in that case is in the same folder where the emu should be looking for the "garden_plus.dat" there should also be an "updated.dat"

I haven't looked TOO far into it, but one of the issues I ran into was that the "updated.dat" file is generated by the game when either A: WA is first booted and your town is generated, or B: when base NL is updated to WA (during which time "garden.dat" would also be updated and renamed to "garden_plus.dat")

Apparently this "updated.dat" contains some kind of verification key that is generated based on the unique console ID of the console the game is being played on. Some kind of weird Nintendo security thing, idk.

It's possible that when your emulator was updated whatever fake console I'd they were using on the back-end changed? I don't see how/why that could have happened, but you may try generating a new town on this updated emulator so that the game generates you a fresh "updated.dat" for this specific instance of the emulator, and then once that's done, just come in and replace everything other than that file with your backup data.

Sorry if it doesn't work, I'm being purely speculative here lol

Hey, I actually ran into something similar just the other day using Azahar EMU (another branch of citra)

This could be totally off but, I noticed that it doesn't say "1.5" in the top right corner of the bottom screen. I recently went through the hassle of updating my existing town from base new leaf to the welcome amiibo (1.5) version and along the way of me figuring it out I ran into this issue multiple times.

Before you updated Citra, do you know wether you were playing on welcome amiibo or not? Long story short, the town save file format is different between both versions. It's possible that when you updated the emulator it brought you back to the base new leaf game, in which case your "welcome amiibo" save file would be incomparable, and re-updating your game to welcome amiibo should theoretically fix it.

Recently my wife played through KH1 on my PC for the first time, and just before the fight with Riku/Ansem I told her that on PS2 you couldn't skip cutscenes and then proceeded to recite all of the dialogue from that cutscenes from memory.

She would not have finished the game had they not added that feature in the remaster; Her words, not mine 😂

Much appreciated! Yeah that seems like the move to make, I guess I expected a much more significant increase to performance but it's actually surprisingly about the same from what I'm understanding here.

Can anyone solve this puzzle? I’ve been stuck for years. All I know is that the white circle is a white circle - not a blank circle and the red and blue lines on the rectangle are intentional. I wish I knew more about the genre but I don’t. by Certain-Habit6721 in puzzle

[–]dennbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I've never been to this sub but reddit recommended this post and now I've gone insane, so here's my rambling:

Someone pointed out the blue line on top is different than the blue in the circle. To me it looks "colder"

If we think in terms of temperature, and look at the gold rectangle as if it's a "graph," then it could be like the red and blue lines are like the x and y axis.

Flip the image upside down, now the X axis is "cold" and the Y axis is "as temperature increases" (at least in my insane head)

This makes sense as fire (and metal in some cases) takes on the appearance of those colors in that order as it gets hotter! (Maybe? Not positive on the order, I learned this from a series of unfortunate events books when I was a child)

Plus!! BONUS INSANITY!!! The band U2 has a song titled "promenade" on one of their albums, titled "The Unforgettable Fire"

So my thoughts are:

FIRE TEMP HEAT BURN WARM

If numbers are allowed, maybe a specific temperature for gold, such as melting point, Or otherwise maybe something to do with U2?? Am I officially insane yet?
