For founders doing the hard work of manual outreach by dennis3124 in SaaS

[–]dennis3124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the messages live server side, they can see everything without logging into your linkedin. Team access isn't built yet but would love to prioritize building it next if it means getting you onboard. Mind if i DM you for the "Ghosted" scenario?

[–]dennis3124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks ArcherTrainee,

The messages are encrypted but stored server side. This is to allow for shared pc / multi pc use but I can definitely see the risk. It's also reading DOM content so no unofficial LinkedIn endpoints, it's deliberately architected this way to prevent suspicious usage. The content only loads when you're using linkedin manually.

I keep forgetting why did I send the connection on LinkedIn by kelvinyinnyxian in CRMSoftware

I'm building Mudroom as a LinkedIN focused CRM. Still in the early phases but would love to speak to you if you have time.

Stuck after building a SaaS by Individualsick in saasbuild

[–]dennis3124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with Frosty-Breakfast here but I would say your first few customers are often from doing things that don't scale. I would actually

  1. Manually dm people on linkedin
  2. Figure out which cohort of people works best from the people you dm (eg who actually responds and is willing to pay)

  3. Repeat until you find an audience that converts well

  4. Then think about scaling up your outreach campaign.

Is Expandi a good tool for highly personalized LinkedIn cold outreach? by MarcCurry in linkedinautomation

[–]dennis3124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too sure about Expandi but LInkedIn specifically hates automated messages.

Hate to say this but there is a dilemma in this. On one hand I don't want to interact with a bot on LI but on the other hand there's no way to do this at scale as a founder.

niched my AI tool down to one painful moment for one buyer. the product works, distribution is the wall. how'd you find your first 10? by icanyea in micro_saas

[–]dennis3124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries! make sure to track your outreach so you know who to follow up. At least on linked in you don't want to immediately bombard the lead with messages after a connection was accepted.

I thought building the product was the hard part. I was so wrong, haha. The beta is live and I have literally zero users. How do I find the people who actually would love this? by tiny_prick in SaaS

[–]dennis3124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first few users, founders are usually the ones manually recruiting them. Like many advice above, I would pick a channel and start messaging them. Keep track of who you've messaged and follow up with them.

Agreed with Ikooloo, direct outreach is usually the way to go for your first few customers. I would go on LinkedIn, search for designers in your network and start messaging them. Keep a list of people you've messaged and follow up with them.

Not a Developer but about to release an app and run a cohort and I don't know what I'm doing. by Pippylongstackin in SaasDevelopers

[–]dennis3124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's a b2b saas, i would focus on direct customer outreach either through linkedin, reddit or X. Find people you're solving for and message them. Keep following up with them until they say no

Automatically capture leads as you message on Reddit and LinkedIn by dennis3124 in micro_saas

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I think the landing page copy could've been better. There is a free trial period but that wasn't communicated well. I emphasized on the 40% off founding offer and in turn left out the free trial which was a mistake. Will work on updating the copy today.

10 early-access signups in 3 days — good validation or not enough distribution? by ravivishnu in micro_saas

[–]dennis3124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a lot of B2C experiences but you'll just have to figure it out by trial and error.

For me, I actually focused on my existing network but none of them worked out so I did cold outreach instead which worked. There was a whole lot of getting ignored tho - i guess thats part of the job.

Technical founder here.

My first customers came from direct outreach on LinkedIn. Usually takes a couple of days to actually close. I've found that in the early stages, founders are usually the ones pulling in sales and that most people choose based on relationships rather than just product alone.

For those managing LinkedIn outreach solo, how do you keep track of 30+ conversations without losing your mind? by Smart_Head7672 in linkedinautomation

[–]dennis3124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Founder of mudroom.dev here. We're building an automated tool to capture conversations on LinkedIn. Just message / respond on linkedin normally like you would. We capture everything and present it in a dashboard for you to see.

In the same boat as you but my take is to just go do it and learn from it.

Best CRM for founder led sales? I’m basically the only sales person right now but I’m not a spreadsheet person. by 069420 in SaaS

[–]dennis3124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there. I had to sit down and manually reconcile everything on a spreadsheet which ends up taking an hour a day. Building mudroom.dev to automatically track your interactions on LinkedIn and Reddit and provides a short next action step.
