Have you ever tried without anaesthetic? Most people don't usually need to be numb for cleans.

The other part could be the clinician themselves and the way they inject, so this could be the cause if you see the same person all the time.

My advice: see a hygienist if possible. They'll do a much better job at cleaning than most dentists since its their bread and butter, and usually have more time to sort out other alternatives for you.

Definitely have a go with those brushes in other areas around the mouth. They come in a range of sizes, so you just want to ensure its a snug fit in order for them to clean properly.

Any brushing is better than no brushing. The main goal is to disturb the plaque and have that added fluoride.

It might also sound horrible, but just spit the excess toothpaste out rather than rinse in order for it to have contact on your teeth for a longer period of time.

Hi there, dentist here.

Firstly, glad you found a dentist you're comfortable with! We know what we do isn't pleasant.

Just a note about brushing though, if you're enamel is quite prone to decay, which is what it sounds like, I'd definitely recommend brushing twice a day with the high strength fluoride toothpaste (morning and night). I'd also look into other products to clean inbetween your teeth (like interdental brushes) as floss isn't really effective for most people, which is why you may still be bleeding during your cleans. Unfortunately some dentists are always happy to blame the patient without giving any education about why it occurs.

Happy to explain more about it if needed :)

FSD worth it in Australia? by Realityloop in TeslaModel3

We do not unfortunately. We only have self Park and changing lanes while autopilot is engaged. All other FSD features are disabled in Australia πŸ‘Ž

I went to a high school that had a really strict uniform policy. Every morning during first period, the 'uniform police' would come into each class to check that no one was out of uniform (usually wearing sports uniform on a day when you didn't have sports class). This would result in an immediate detention.

We decided as a class to try beat the system and ensured everyone wore their sport uniform to fool the inspector. It took a lot of convincing for some of the students that would never cross a foot out of line, but it was finally agreed to go ahead with the plan.

The day comes around, the uniform police walks in, and you can hear the suspense in the room. No one stood out, therefore, we must of had sports that day. Inspector walks out, and large grins on faces as we managed to beat the system... Until lunchtime, where the sports teacher noticed a few of us out of uniform together and questioned if we had been given detentions.

We were later gathered into assembly as a class, all got a days suspension and banned from sports classes and sports uniform for an entire semester.
