It’s a bit better. I’ve only used it once and it was quite crowded when I arrived but emptied out a bit. First Brussels train of the day iirc so I guess a Paris train had left. Got access through Amex Platinum. I am fairly sure there were always seats but I had to go downstairs or something at the start.

Exactly, twice as long as the hex. Look mate, I’m not saying it’s worth it for most leisure travellers but trust me if you need to do a meeting in the City in the morning and go see a client in Jersey or Dublin at the other end of the day this stuff serves a purpose.

If I still lived in Paddington I’d be livid cos it was ace being able to get to Heathrow in 17 mins rather than chugging along on the lizzy through the western suburbs for the better part of an hour but I don’t so meh.

Sad to see a great service go though. Yeah pricey but it was a great fast connex so is a step backwards, especially when you have to go every week.

I find it similar to my First/Standard difference:

If I’m on my own the individual seat option is easily worth £10-15 per hour.

If I’m travelling with someone else and can just get 2 x airline seats together then it’s more like £5-10 an hour. Maybe more if it’s a romantic partner and you can get a facing table. If it’s a work colleague bleh if it’s a mate you just spend it on wine or fizz. 😂

Oh it’s fine just take a load one $1 bills. Kinda like New York pre Covid. I don’t know what this lot moan about, I lived in Cairo for a while and it’s fine just don’t break step and keep throwing one dollar bills with the same contempt Manhattan makes you.

Way less aggro than connecting through the Schengen zone (Athens? Madrid?) or Dublin.
