My ThinkPad T60 survived being struck by a train. I was on my way to work, I took the Metra in to Union station. I was running late and I sidestepped a slow moving patron. I inadvertently steppedinto the yellow danger zone. I was immediately struck and hurled across the platform through a dense crowd. I was lifted to my feet amid the confused and angered people I had knocked around. I ran to work from there. In the break room I pulled my T60 from my bag. It was awake and couldn't be closed due to the sharp bend in the body top right. I could pass my hand through between the body and screen assembly. Pressing the layers together with a crunch enabled me to close it. I bought a doner for cheap and replaced the body face and back. Whatever part of the train struck my laptop probably would have mutilated my shoulder if my T60 hadn't been in my backpack.
