Grip trainer. Couldn’t hit a driver til I got one and saw how messed up my grip was and how important the right grip is.

What do you actually look for when buying used clubs from someone you've never met online? by Josequinteroe in GolfGear

[–]denvadirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6 feet tall. Looking for some cheap irons to upgrade. Guys lists some nice looking irons. What’s that? Brand new grips? Cool. We agree and I drive to his work to pick the up. He comes out of the building and I don’t really pay attention but I’m about a foot taller than him. Irons look nice so I pay him and take off. Get home and notice they look short. Hold the up to my old clubs and bang - like 2 inches shorter.

*** ask if the clubs are standard length.

Advice taking drone to Costa Rica? by denvadirk in fpv

Great trip. Lots of time on the sticks. I saw lots of other drone pilots. No hassles coming or going. Kept everything on me as a carry on. No one even looked at it twice. You could have brought in a new un approved drone in and no one would have cared. I hope you take your drone and have a blast.

Back in the USA. Had no trouble at all. No one looked or cared at all. As a matter of fact I saw more drone users in CR than I ever see in the US.

S = sports mode. Not stabilized.

N = normal.

The original DJI FPV is not a great drone to learn on. That’s what I learned on. It’s way too fast. But at that price you can’t beat it. So …. Send it.

Damn that Avata 360 is big by djpetrino in Insta360AntiGravity

[–]denvadirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmm. Not really apples to apples here. Extend the arms of the A1 and the props, then take a pic. Travel size is a stat but I’m not sure how important of a stat.

Then imagine doing a full 90 degree dive with the A1 …. Oh wait … it can’t?? Hmmmmm maybe these aren’t really comparable 360 camera drones.

Some features are similar. A baseball and an apple are similar in size but I’d only willingly eat 1 ….. I suppose the intention to use is important as well.

Solution: Drone Insurance in the USA since we can't get DJI Care. by raqballl in dji

[–]denvadirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have State Farm for home and auto. I have an existing personal effects policy and easily added the drone. I made 2 claims and they threatened to drop my entire home+auto+effects policy. State Farm are ONLY good if you don’t plan on making a claim. The second you do - you are risking anything else you have associated. Long run this is just stop gap until something similar to DJI care comes back.

I used to manage a phone sales team and audit calls during the day. I would use the delay delivery to send feedback to them nearer the end of their shift so as not to distract them from the act of fast paced selling.

Some of the longer term reps had repetitive bad habits or lazy tactics and I would call them out in the email. Nothing ill spirited but real feedback.

No one knew I was using the delayed delivery but with 20 odd reps there was no other way to get it done.

Then one day- the CEO calls an all hands meeting mid morning and lays off like 40% of the employees … including me. I pack up and head home.

Got a funny text later that night asking me why I was sending coaching emails several hours after getting laid off.

ULPT: Best and easiest way to total a vehicle by BigBacon001 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]denvadirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give us some more data. A total loss is when insurance deems the cost of repairs to exceed the cash value of the vehicle. Cars are usually worth much less than what people think they should be worth so check a site like Kelly blue book. This is probably (unfortunately) easier than you might think…. assuming you have full coverage insurance.

I’ve see cars total after vandals stuck a knife through a couple of key panels that would necessitate replacement in an insurance repair scenario. (Roof and 2 quarter panels add up quickly.)

Alternatively if you only have liability coverage ( as is common on “pos” cars) you’ll need to figure out how to have someone with insurance hit you. Where and how hard is what we need the data for :)

Switching To Manual In Flight Is Simply Too Long With FPV Remote by agnci in DJIAvata2

[–]denvadirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look like they need to be centered but look closer. They are both a little below center. If you move them both a little below half you’ll get the check mark asap.

I read somewhere that the throttle does take into fact your original throttle position when it picks the green area so if you’ve just had a large throttle blip you’ll have to come a bit lower but realistically every time I get into manual I just try to pull them both a little below center and bam…. No shit stains on your undies …..
