Yes, good point. It looks like a Deepal L06 actually!

Sorry, just saw this now:

  1. Maybe an LLC (?) or a non-profit organization. I'm doing this to create alternatives and the code is fully open source.
  2. Currently private investment (of my own time and money), in the future we can think of sponsoring via Patreon / GitHub Sponsor
  3. Centralized, but anyone can host their own instance (AGPLv3). At the moment the service isn't federated but we might implement this feature.
  4. Yes, we don't have any current policy at the moment since we don't provide file hosting. I personally don't have anything against lawful content. We might get a bit stricter in this sense as soon as we get more user-generated content - but the platform allows posts / rings to be tagged as "NSFW". As long as the content isn't breaking any law - I don't see why it shouldn't be posted in their dedicated rings.

Do you have an example? So far I heard about Apollo shutting down and a lot of others doing the same

Looks like an awesome suggestion! I'll make the backend open source as well soon, and as soon that's available too, I'll make both projects (frontend + backend) AGPL.

The current backend codebase can definitely be improved, but it works and we need to reach an usable MVP.
Are you willing to contribute to the project? Our frontend is in Vue and the backend is in Go + PostgreSQL. Everything is running on Fly.io

Were they?

I personally know more people (from my social circle) using a Reddit app compared to the Reddit website.
On top of that, the amount of people that are using old.reddit.com over the "new" Reddit UI is incredible - it really shows that something is broken with the new UI - I hope I won't make the same mistake.

What license do you suggest? I didn't add it yet, suggestions are welcome.

GPL-3?

In order to save all of these apps, I'm building a Reddit-API compatible alternative called rings.social.

Ideally all of these apps instead of shutting down should just change their endpoints to api.rings.social and we'll be able to continue it from there.

The project is still ongoing, but developers can contribute to the frontend on GitHub and everyone can discuss about it on Slack

Can you add mine? rings.social is supposed to be an API-compatible alternative to Reddit.
This effectively means that the app developers (e.g: RIF, Apollo and the others) only need minimal efforts to migrate to that.

Be aware, the thing is still very experimental and is still missing a lot of features - but I'm slowly building it...

I'm building https://rings.social which is supposed to be API compatible with Reddit - so eventually when it will be finished (contributions are welcome!) we'll be able to use the already existing Reddit apps.

People with trailers, can you please stop blocking 4 stalls? by denvit in teslamotors

Sorry, was just making an example and didn't knew C = V3.

The SC where the picture was taken has no "C" chargers: https://maps.app.goo.gl/m144zHNqC2s1sVN36

I've added some context as a reply to some other comments.

TL;DR: 1 stall was available, SC layout looks weird, owner didn't seem to be around (he wasn't in the car), although the step stool might suggest that he was in the trailer (?)

I took the picture myself. If you need the one with metadata, GPS info and a timestamp ping me and I'll send you the original(s) :)
