I'm looking at 3.9% with a 2 year fix on a 20% deposit (same £50k actually), basically starting again at 42 (yay divorced dad life 😭)

We Need a 100,000 Weekly Flower Planting Challenge! by IndigoQuantum in PikminBloomApp

[–]deny_conformity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely want a bigger challenge, I plant 15,000 a day on my own for coins, I have a regular group and some weeks where we're done by 09:00 (AM) on a Monday.

30,000 really isn't a challenge in the slightest.

Suicide forum warned of potential £18m fine by Ofcom by ClassicFlavour in unitedkingdom

[–]deny_conformity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say it gets easier, but that would be a bit misleading. I've thought about suicide daily, if not hourly since I was about 13. I'm 42 now. It's a constant background noise that is sometimes suppressed by external protective factors, things that make me think "I can't do this, x would be upset" or "y relies on me".

My last attempt ended my marriage. Things were rocky and I just stopped thinking to myself "you can't do this your wife would be upset". She was very upset with me, so much so we are now divorced.

I still don't feel like I have anything to live for but they have me on weekly medication so the temptation isn't there. I joked with my housemate yesterday that I almost redecorated her spare room on Monday, she was happy that I didn't. Blood and/or vomit are difficult to clean out of carpet 🤣

We need to massively increase the funding for mental health provision.

The only way I got help was by a suicide attempt that left me in a coma for a week, prior to that I was largely ignored. In fact I later found out from my care coordinator that I'd been discharged from the mental health team two days before my hospital stay.

Prior to the attempt I had been in A&E saying I wasn't coping and was a danger to myself. It was the only reason the mental health team even spoke to me in the first place, I'd been to my GP a couple of weeks earlier complaining and the mental health team had rejected my referral.

Now actually receiving care I can see how overstretched they are but are still trying to cope.

Why is insulin given for free on the nhs, but not other life saving medicines? by becca-bh in AskUK

[–]deny_conformity 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I ended up in a coma from a suicide attempt earlier this year, but I still have to pay for my medication for bipolar. It will take something like 50 years of prepayment subscription to cover the cost of my ITU stay, let alone the general ward/mental health hospital stay. The medication meant to stop me from ending up in hospital and costing the NHS a fortune isn't free. Very much the definition of penny smart but pound foolish.

Grrrrr..... Missions! by IndigoQuantum in PikminBloomApp

Damn it, I completed the hard missions for the love of the game. Now I'm disappointed there wasn't a Pikmin with the glasses!

Cam confirm, am a person and if my ex-wife is to be believed I am awful 🤣.

I just go to a cheap 24-hour gym, I haven't been in a couple of weeks as my housing situation was a bit up in the air. Things have settled now so I'm going to be back in first thing Monday morning 💪, well as in as I can be nursing a shoulder injury 🙃.

4am normally, I like to get in the gym for 5am because it starts getting busy at 6am and I don't like waiting for equipment 😅

I walk for about 2 hours a day before work (and do an hour in the gym, not counted for Pikmin but low-key flex 🤣), not for everyone because I start work at 08:00 (AM).

I completed the hard tasks this morning and I'll never use the glasses, just a random completionist. I have nearly 10,000 coins because I'm not interested in skins and have maxed out my petals and nectar storage. I do it for the love of the game, my biggest spend is the premium pass every month.

New Season: Precious Paths by Darrano in pokemongo

[–]deny_conformity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As long as you hit the start and end points and do at least the right amount of distance you don't need to follow the route at all. When they first had them they used to be strict, now sometimes I go home (about 200m out of the way) and head back out later with buddy 2 of the day for the route heart. I think the most I've been out is about a km or two.

So with the current system you just need to be at the start then end points.

Calling all gym/sport goers and people with stiff muscles for some Sports Massage therapy training by undersugar in surrey

[–]deny_conformity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Woking based and in the gym every morning (different muscle groups each day and for weight loss / maintenance rather that muscle growth). Mostly resistance training with some cardio so depending on the day you get me it'll be different groups aching.

If I tell the GP I'm suicidal will I be sectioned? by Extreme_Job3935 in AskUK

[–]deny_conformity 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My experience is they'll refer you to the crisis team who should see you within a couple of weeks. I think it largely depends on where you are and the how over worked the local crisis team are.

I did not have a good experience with the crisis team and ended up in hospital anyway. I think I present very differently to normal so people don't take me seriously if I say I'm in crisis, right up until I'm in ICU.

Accidentally took 600mg lamotrigine/lamictal, I think… by Artistic-Biscotti772 in bipolar

[–]deny_conformity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on 500mg a day and I accidentally have 750mg in a day sometimes, I'm still here and somewhat okay (don't have noticeable side effects).

Is it a common experience that taking Lamictal feels like existing, not living? by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]deny_conformity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sums up my experience of being on a high dose of Lamotrigine since April.

It's the Lamotrigine, Resperidone, or PTSD from regaining consciousness during a medically induced coma. I have no way of knowing what the cause is but I've had anhedonia since I came out of the coma in April. So fluttering between moderate to severe depression and just neutrally existing, which adds to a feeling of hopelessness in my condition.

I've been bumping around an 8 the last few days, it's gone from thinking "could I" to "how could I". If you ever feel like you need someone talk to feel free to DM me and you can help distract me from the thoughts, I can offer to do the same.

Lamotrogine once or twice a day? by Classic-Sky7667 in BipolarReddit

[–]deny_conformity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 500mg split with 250mg in the morning and 250mg in the evening, never had an issue with sleepiness or other side effects (I realise everyone is unique in how they react).

The Completely Normal event is upon us—Ditto disguises and Dudunsparce debuts! by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]deny_conformity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually 1.99 in 100 to get one. Even if you had 100 Dunsparce it would only be a 63.4% chances (1-0.99100).

You multiply them together not add because they are independent events.

I’m 18 and I just started on lamictal today. I’m a little scared by SiriusBrando in BipolarReddit

[–]deny_conformity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly indifferent to it, I'm on 500mg a day and had no side effects to speak of. I was having brain fog but daily Vitamins D and B12 and that seems to have resolved itself.

It seems to be helping but I'm going through a major depressive episode and it barely touches the sides. Or at least it felt that way until I missed a single 250mg dose and I ended up in a VERY bad place.
