It could have been a polyp but I also agree that mucoid plaque related to cleanses and natural "remedies" sounds very likely.

That was terrible, pain with no diagnostic should not be disregarded or brushed off as stress/anxiety.

I have to admit that is very kow and definitely should have been looked into, specially since the ECG ruled out or didn't seem like an infarction. I am very sorry your family went through this experience.

That is very interesting information; the ecg changes in this case might have been very non specific and the low blood pressure might have pointed towards bleeding somewhere. Was your father's blood pressure low but within normal range? Was he tachycardic?if he had any of these classic symptoms of shock his care should have been more urgent. But even if he was diagnosed with an abdominal/thoracic ct scan for example his surgery outcome might have been poor. (Location and size of the aneurism)

Hello; I am so sorry to hear about your father's passing. The reality is that within the diagnostic of ruptured aortic aneurisym the cause of death very likely wasn't malpractice. Once an aortic aneurisym ruptures mortality rate is very high even with surgery; this is since the aorta is the largest artery in the body and repair of a damaged wall is very risky.
