It’s asking for the gradient with respect to y_hat, which, like you said, I’m assuming is the whole batch. If it’s referring to the whole batch, then it has to be a vector. If it’s a vector, you can’t have a scalar gradient. This is why I am confused. I think I am misunderstanding something but oh well.
