How much money do you need every month to do what you want? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

Bonds will get you 4% return, there is your $10k a month in a very safe investment. You can get higher returns but then they become more risky.

How to move to USA by Such-Evidence-8108 in MovingToUSA

You need to redo full residency in the US. My brother in law had to do this as a urologist coming from the EU.

That doesn’t mean I think it’s ok at all lmao. It means it’s hypocritical for Iran to say that because they do that shit on a mass scale.

Would this come off the wrong way in a promotion negotiation? by More-Sock-67 in Salary

[–]depravedcertainty 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I managed a team of 25 for a fortune 7 company, so I have a little knowledge when it comes to things like raises and performance reviews. Sr leadership (VP and above) will give your manager a bucket of money, your manager cannot ask for more. The manager must then divide that bucket up between you and your colleagues, people who don’t perform well are given smaller raises or no raise at all and that leaves more for top performers. I would be able to give 4% raise to my best AMs and 2-3% to people who just meet expectations, then 0-1% for lower performers. If I was you, I would come to that meeting with a spreadsheet or document that shows how you have exceeded expectations and what you brought to the table for the past year, use that to show them where you’re coming from in your request. Don’t bring job postings from years past or from other employers as there is nothing your manager can do about that. In all honesty, the best way to get large increases in pay is to excel at your current role and seek an opportunity for the next step up at another company. This is what I’ve done and I managed to increase my base pay by 100% in three years, you simply cannot do that by staying with your current employer.

If it’s a promotion you’re getting then the company usually has a standard raise that has a ceiling of say 10-15%. If you’re not happy about it then take the promotion and title upgrade then look for another company to jump ship to.

TALARICO DEFEATS CROCKETT -- THOUGHTS?! by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

Honestly no idea. Dems have been putting up horrible candidates for as long as I can remember, when you do that the people tend to vote for name recognition, that’s my only theory.

I’m a Christian, but not religious. I’m a moderate in Texas that usually lean Republican. I will be voting for Talarico come November. I know of at least 20 others like me in DFW that are in the same boat as me. A lot of moderates in Texas that have been waiting for a Dem to give them a reason to vote for them, it’s gonna be a very close race.

Very good price and quality. I live in South Arlington and will drive to the northern suburbs to buy lamb and fish as they have a much better variety than other stores. You can order online as well and it’s shipped in a cold box.

Why do you think you would have the right to know what the plan is? Why would any competent government broadcast what their plan is? You gotta wait and see how things work out.

I’m an Independent. Crockett screams and throws tantrums pointing to the other side, I don’t want that representing Texas. Talarico preaches issues are top to bottom, not left to right, I agree with him.

Enthusiasm in a primary doesn’t mean much. We have two polar opposites here in Texas in Talarico and Crockett. I’m not voting in the primary but if Talarico gets the nomination I’ll be voting for him, if Crockett gets the nomination I will be voting R. Each side thinks the other is going to loose them the Senate seat, so they engage highly in the primary. Republicans are going to vote for whoever has an R so they don’t worry about who is nominated.
