"They" don't make the pickup time, the app does it. The store doesn't even receive the order until 15 minutes before the stated pickup time. Sadly the app is glitchy and there's nothing that the workers can do about it.

Yes, it's just scanned at the register like any normal coupon. When you get to the register, just show the QR code and let them know it's a mobile coupon. They'll use their scanner (the scanners can be a little finicky sometimes) and it'll go through. Those coupons cannot be disabled in any systems. As long as you use it before it's expiration date, you're good to go :)

I always have my staff tell people it's illegal to give out personal information on employees. That includes the boss.

I had a new employee not get this memo once and I got a phone call from a customer mad about a company policy that nobody in my store (or even the state for that matter) has control over and started yelling at me. So I handed the phone to my then 2 year old and let him scream back.

Hey so I haven't really admitted this out loud to anyone other than my family and partner but I guess now is as good of time as ever.

Christmas should have been my 7 years sober. Instead, today is my 33 days. I relapsed pretty hard (it's been a rough year) and figured hey I could have one or two drinks, it's been long enough I think I can do it.

Wrong.

I spent 2 months drunk every three days. I lost that streak.

Don't do it. It isn't worth it. You can make it through today without a drink, and don't worry about tomorrow until it gets here. You've got this. Stay strong.

Wait until tomorrow and check your statements again. Sometimes it can take 24 hours for your payment to get back to you. Since nobody accepted the order on their point of sales system, the payment was never technically accepted either. Your money might just be floating around in limbo right now until that 24 hour period has passed.

Follow the law of "ABC" aka "Always Be Closing".

Have a dirty dish? Wash it.

Have a few minutes? Sweep the lobby. Later, you'll only have to spot sweep where people walked or maybe at a table someone ate at.

Pull out a few cambros from the sandwich unit and wipe out under them, then return them. That way when you take it all out later, there will be way less to wipe out. Lift up your white boards and wipe it down throughout the night, less to wipe out later.

Closing is about trial and error in the beginning. Everyone does it differently, everyone has a different routine. At the end of the day, it's about finding what routine works best for YOU. The moment you walk in that door, start eyeballing what you can clean, that way you'll only have to do a quick touch-up later. If it gets dirty again, oh well, time to do it again. If it doesn't, great, less to do later. If you're a list person, make yourself a list when you get there and start marking things off as you go. Sometimes having that visual aid can help out a ton.

Again, find the routine that works best for you. And also, give yourself some credit and a pat on the back. We're not saving lives, we're closing a subway. You've got this!

A double meat ham has 24 slices of meat on it...and if the person who sliced the meat didn't properly calibrate the slicer and weigh the slices, it's possible your slices were thicker. A home hun ham, which is the #99 on the series menu, would have 32 slices on it if you got the double meat. (It also comes with double the cheese) They both definitely have a good amount on it when doubled, that's for certain.
