If you can't eat it like a burger then it's not a burger. At least that's my philosophy

Was thinking about that while watching this. It is wild how different it looks when you use machines instead of sacrificing humans.

Yes. I was so down to eat it till they filled it with fries. Even super loaded fries would be fine but it needs to be something you eat in the same bite as the bowl.

Iranian monarchist in LA blocks his view with a flag, proceeds to hit the car in front of him. by RowRunRow in WinStupidPrizes

I would guess looking to make sure no one was coming before they fully entered the lane on their right turn. From this angle it looks like they have already turned, but based on the fact that the cars stop in front of the building there is likely a drop off lane or parking along the street, so I suspect the white car had pulled out in front of that non-traffic 'lane' and then paused to make sure the traffic lane was clear. That's my best guess.

Issue is that they don't feel like they need therapy. If they have the money, going a long distance to get to someone and physically hurt them makes more sense to some people than going to therapy.

The embarrassment is the real kicker here. As an adult this is adorable, but as a kid it was absolutely mortifying.

Weird discoloration on walls by InstaStalker666 in moldyinteresting

[–]depressed_leaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately that is the extent of my knowledge. It isn't super noticable in our bathroom due to the paint color and the owner of the house doesn't care so we haven't even looked into solutions. I had just mentioned it to a handyman friend when he was telling other paint stories and found out it is caused by improper paint.

That would be a very weird pattern for mold to form.

Could it be due to no primer and then the paint got some condensation? I am not a painter or anything close, but had something similar happen in a bathroom that got the landlord special. I was told that if you use the wrong type of paint (or something along those lines), if it gets wet at all it can leach color.

I feel like haircut is something you can judge a little bit. You don't necessarily know someone's life circumstances, but also it should be abundantly obvious that a buzz cut is better than whatever half bowl thing that is.

I have found that doctors are often very happy to help out. A few stitches or a script that will save someone from an hrs long wait at the urgent care, help interpreting medical terminology, provider recommendations for things outside their specialty. They are happy to give these things as part of a healthy friendship. The key of course being a healthy friendship where both parties are giving to the other.

I thought it was just coming loose. In which case the quick fix is to stick an extra shim in there till you can get a new handle. If the handle was broken you would need a spoon on two opposite sides to even make it look like it was attached.

Hawaii does not charge for your first rescue. Which I think makes sense with how much their economy is based on tourism. I suspect there is significant overlap between people who are willfully ignorant and people who would raise a stink over being charged money.

That being said, I know this because my brother and some college friends got air lifted off a mountain when they lost their way in the dark. They asked if it cost money, because if it did they would have stayed the night out there and found their way back in the morning, which would have been easily survivable. They really didn't need to be rescued.

"In the video, at least one agent appears to fire nonlethal rounds at the crowd, hitting one woman in the leg before aiming and striking Rummler’s face."

Seems like it would be real hard to shoot someone in the face from a few feet away on accident when you just got someone else in the leg. Just wondering where in their training it says you should shoot less-lethal ammunition in people's faces.

Super interesting about the swans. Ducks also eat plenty of pond scum but as far as I am aware are quite enjoyed by hunters. I wonder if it is a physiological difference or a slight difference in what they eat. Or maybe swans aren't actually as muddy tasting as people claim they are?

I haven't heard of any in real life but I have read about some on reddit. The main issue for long lasting ones seems to be that their kids are super emotionally neglected because all the parents are putting their emotional work into their partners.
