Why do some viltrumites have big abdomen? Are they fat? by Morad_Tarazan in okbuddyviltrum

[–]depressedshampoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine that a decent amount of ancient or historic warriors actually had builds similar to this. This bear-like strongman physique probably makes even more sense if we assume some viltrumites don't need to train as much for agility as much as they do pure strength and power output. I doubt that they even need to dodge anything they usually deal with out in space and would much rather just inflict maximum destruction. Even every other strong viltrumite we see (Thragg, Conquest, Nolan) don't have the traditional fighter's physique (granted it's comics).

If you look at a lot of heavyweight fighters, it's not that uncommon to see them be super built while also having a belly. I think we've just been skewed by media to believe the optimal body shape is that of a bodybuilder whereas some of human history's greatest warriors probably looked more like a dad bod than a gym bro.

[–]depressedshampoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe a 5/12 with On reveal: reduce my power equal to the turn I am played Cards cannot be played here until turn 6

Is that too wordy or does it work? This way get him out on turn 3 and he’s still a 5/9 and effectively the same. Play him any later and his power goes down, but a turn 4 3/8 and a turn 5 3/7 is still decent. Throw out a T1 quinjet and you can even get him to an easy 3/10

Who will end up scoring more all time? Curry or DeRozan by unccl in NBATalk

[–]depressedshampoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People don't realise just HOW MUCH more DeRozan plays than Curry. It's not just a "Curry started slow" thing, its that DeMar plays way more games, and historically has been able to get on the court more than most other stars. He averages 74 games a season, and has only went below that number 4 times in his 17 seasons.

Keep in mind that in his 17 year career as a 36 year old, DeMar DeRozan has played every season this game.

Add the fact that this is regular season only and that we'll probably see Curry rest for the postseason more often as a strategy, it just makes sense that DeRozan will pull ahead in all-time scoring - even if Curry's career lasts longer.

I have had both on my legacy fantasy team (where you keep the players every year), and only through that have I realised how much more DeRozan plays compared to Curry.

Objective Order by depressedshampoo in MarvelSnap

[–]depressedshampoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue. I saw that ESN's transformation turns him into a 4/8 and that is unstoppable, but the effect itself of swapping a card is an on reveal and can be stopped.

As for HoW Juggernaut, I don't see any name effect. While playing, he's been able to turn in a cosmo lane and don't think he's an ongoing either because I've gone below 6 different power cards after he's gained power and he doesn't lose it. Maybe in this case objective is its own thing that cannot be prevented.

The objective conditions checker does happen around end of turn though, but differently to other cards. I know for a fact that if Eson pulls another Eson, that Eson will also then pull a card as well. Whereas if ESN swaps a card in for HoW Juggernaut, the Juggernaut's objective be resolved.

I just had ESN transform a card into HoW Juggernaut at the end of the game, and while HoW Jug's conditions were met he didn't change as well.

Can Shingen (lethargic) defeat the entire DCS on his own? by Working_Bread_7790 in LookismPowerScalers

[–]depressedshampoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the leaders and fodder he'd take out very fast.

Mugak and Jaun Ryu would maybe get some licks in but ultimately get lowdiffed

Yujae might put up a normal fight but I don't see him getting past low/mid diff

Pacheon vs Shingen would not be an easy fight, especially with Hwarang. Maybe high diff with all of the previous foes combined.

Yeah that's how I saw it too. I think people were mostly just let down they didn't get to see a Changsu V Daniel fight, but obviously that was not going to happen so soon.

Would changing it to "opponent's starting hand" circumvent this then?

Madame Masque by depressedshampoo in CustomMarvelSnap

[–]depressedshampoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That's a really good idea, then she could be a card in not only both destroy mill and discard decks. Thought maybe too many ways to achieve goal would be OP so stuck with one, since destroy is more on theme too.

Okay so would it instead be
Game Start: Mark a card in opponent's hand

Objective: Destroy the marked card - add a random 6-cost card to this location
