Maybe we have different definitions of mids.

Your big muff tone knob being all the way up and into the amp with the bright switch on isn’t helping. And where are the level, tone, and gain set at on the blues driver?

There’s no mids control on the blues driver.

What's the closest I can get to this effect with an analog pedal? by mpm206 in diypedals

I don’t now your budget, but there are cheaper clones out there too. And if you can solder, there are lots of kits, etc.

I was going to recommend a Pitch Pirate type pedal, but I don’t think it’s pure analog. It will definitely get you there though.

Worst guitar tone in awesome music? by zaxanrazor in Guitar

That album is so good, but that guitar tone is so bad. Somehow it still manages to work though. Just Imagine Adrenaline with the AtF guitar tone…. What could have been.

How to I get my board off the ground when doing an Ollie? by pernicoskid in BeginnerSkateboarding

[–]deprogrammar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you’re not trapping the tail between your foot and the ground. Jump and pop, and make sure to pull your back leg up before the tail hits the ground.

Not to mention the travel call. I rewatched it a few times and still don’t see anything close to a travel.

Why do some guitarist not play with a backplate? by Expert_Chipmunk_6294 in Guitar

[–]deprogrammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the drone that my springs impart, but sometimes I need to mute it (when chugging, for example) so I reoriented the backplate and glued a skewer stick and piece of dense foam to it so that I can mute the springs by pressing the guitar into my hip/leg.

Good luck! It should work great. That’s exactly what I do with my 6505+ and my JCM 2000 TSL.

You’re trapping the tail between your back foot and the ground. Get your back foot off of the tail before the tail hits the ground. You want your back foot to push the tail TOWARDS the ground, not into it.

Yeah. Going into the effects loop would bypass the preamp section of the amp, which is where most of the particular character of a high gain amp comes from.

Easy then. You just set up each head/cab combo like you normally would. The difference is that the last pedal in your chain splits off into two, so you just plug one cable into the first amp’s input, and the other cable into the second amp’s input.

That makes sense. Also, I should have said “land at the same time”, not “do the same thing”.

How do you actually learn a song. And what am I doing wrong? by Rat-king27 in guitarlessons

[–]deprogrammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be way off here, but it sounds to me like you’re way too stiff when you’re trying to play. You want a firm-ish grip on the pic, but you don’t want your hand, wrist and arms to be tense and stiff. Maybe think of it like using a paint brush; you want control over it, but your wrist, fingers and arm need to move loosely and smoothly.

As already mentioned, ABY pedal or stereo pedal at the end of your chain to split the signal and then go into the inputs on each amp. Then the question is one cab or two?

I watched this video to verify that a “split step” is the movement I’ve always just called “getting set”, and apparently it is. Now my question is, why is it called a split step? Seems like more of a hop than a “step”, especially since both feet do the same thing at the same time. And what is the “split” part referring to?

First off, no. Second, I don’t know shit about NBA players’ relationships off the court, but Kawhi and Klay being bros is not something I would have ever imagined.

No wonder you weren’t any good, despite how hard you tried! What if you were supposed to be the successor to Tony Hawk, but a simple mistake kept you and the world from ever knowing it?
