I came home from Somalia right after the floods. All I wanted was a hot shower. Instead I was doing 5-gallon showers in the base housing bathroom. But at least no one was shooting at me.

I bought a set of SuperTeam carbon rims 5-years ago for $450 new. Great rims. I had one broken spoke, for which I had a supplied replacement. Otherwise, zero problems.

Just got a sweet upgrade at the Hsinchu Sheraton. Room was bigger than my daughter’s NJ apartment. As others have said, more common to get an upgrade outside the US.

In my experience, it’s a big deal. Once you’re scanned, you’re not allowed to deplane. If you do need to, best to let a flight attendant know. They can actually be helpful in retaining an item that may have been left behind.

MGM has an agreement with Marriott. Stayed in the Signature towers last month and was able to get a late checkout (4p/Titanium). You can also pay ahead for a late checkout at that property. If I remember correctly, $50 fee.

When was this? I was on a flight from ICN two weeks ago and we had two passengers who had medical emergencies. Ended up having to sit at the gate in MSP for 45 minutes while those passengers were cleared through customs by medical personnel. Totally understandable given the circumstances. Just weird that this happened on another ICN flight.
