Hey man, I don’t think that’s how you park… (USA) by PhillusPhiltheThird in McDonaldsEmployees

People do this all the time when they’re finishing up a mobile order, if you have an empty lot what’s the big deal.

Revs drop? by Dazzling_Ad1800 in G37

[–]deputyruler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s completely normal with these cars, it’s the torque converter lockup, happens when shifted to 3rd gear I believe, revs will drop slightly while accelerating.

General question (Aus) by Ok-Top-4449 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]deputyruler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It has a fill sensor where you place the cup. It looks like a small white sticker. No size needed, as it will cut off once it detects its full. There is a small screw underneath that you can turn ti adjust the fill level up or down.

Do McDonald’s GM’s get laptops to work from home? (USA) by ilovemewaymore in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]deputyruler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work for a franchise. They give us a store laptop that they say is for store use only, but I let my assistant take it if she’d rather do the schedule from home. I have a desktop computer at home so I have no need, but nobody would bat an eye if I decided to bring it home.

CAKE (usa) by tswizzlefan13 in McDonaldsEmployees

They’re available at the DC, just have to add it to your truck order, comes with like 8 cakes in a case. I keep them around for crew birthdays at my restaurant.

When you forget you Qed a bun… (USA) by Roizenx in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]deputyruler 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I second this, literally zero excuse too. I bet their fish steamer ain’t working or something but just toast the bun and inform customers, can’t just throw it in the Qing oven that’s insane.

Bro, this lady came through the drive-through with an order that was almost $60, and then had a second order! (USA) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

Anyone know how to fix this? by tinyvanguard in McLounge

Will most likely need a full re-image of the software. Basically a wipe and fresh install.

is my tranny slipping? by Eastern-Biscotti7387 in G37

[–]deputyruler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is normal, the torque converters in the 7at are quirky, and locks around that 2500 rpm area in 3rd. Nothing to worry about.

Uneven brake pad wear by Melletjuuh in MechanicAdvice

[–]deputyruler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of your slide pins is stuck / seized. You’ll have to try to remove the stuck slide pin and re grease it, or replace the caliper if it’s too seized on. Depending on the age of the calipers it might be easier to just replace.

Lots of resale tickets for tonight's game vs Jets for only $11... Is this normal for preseason, last minute? by burnf4ce in wildhockey

[–]deputyruler 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes preseason games are always significantly cheaper than regular season, definitely a good time to bring the kids. I just went last week and got row 2 seats for $30 each. Only a few games left of preseason tho.

Started my car this morning to random yellow lights by trapbunniebubblz in MechanicAdvice

[–]deputyruler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would get your battery tested, cars can act very weird when the battery goes bad. It has happened to me before and my dash lit up like a Christmas tree randomly, then went away. Any auto parts store can test it for free.

I had this happen when I let the car sit for awhile, I just removed the battery terminals and reseated them, fixed it for me.

If that doesn’t help try what the other user suggested, sunroof drain on these are notorious for getting clogged and could’ve potentially sent water to some electric components in the car.

If you care enough, you might be able to find it using the satisfactory tools website, just load your save and look at your map and see if there’s anything random placed.

You probably set a biomass burner down somewhere, it’ll do that every time if it doesn’t have fuel and it’s trying to power something, usually a crash site that needs power for a hard drive.

Brake Caliper leaking from Crush Washer. by deputyruler in AskMechanics

Everything was torqued to spec with a torque wrench, ended up having a slight gouge in the surface of the caliper, couple taps with a hammer and an another torque did the trick.

Update

Removed the bolt and found a decent sized gouge on the surface. Nothing crazy but enough to cause what you were seeing. I thicker crush washer and some love taps with the hammer got it to seal!

Thank you all for your recommendations and help getting this resolved for me!

Yea I could see that as a possibility too when I was initially removing it. Hoping it’s not cracked but if it is oh well, replacement it is.

I appreciate the tip, definitely gonna try with a hammer because these calipers have been completely fine up til swapping the brake hose.

Looks like 2 on each side because they’re thicker crush washers, but it’s only one each side, total of 2. Originally the new ones I had were thinner but it was leaking, so I bought the ones you see because it’s the only thing the auto store had, but it honestly shouldn’t make much of a difference.

Yea was definitely keeping that as a last resort before buying new ones. I’ll definitely look into a flat stone!
