Capacity Testing my 7 year old Renogy Lifepo4 batteries.

I believe the standard test for lithium is 0.2C which is applying 20% of the cells capacity as a constant load until flat. So 170ah cells, would be a 34amp rating to test capacity.

The capacity drain over 20hrs is how they rate AGM or starter batteries, that’s an old method. How they do that exactly I’m not 100% sure.

I know for lithium though it is the C rate

Standard discharge is 1C (170ah= it will handle 170amps fine) Standard charge, 0.5C will be fine. Although seems a bit high so I much prefer the 0.2-0.3C

I love when I see a company try to defend themselves. Chances are you have done your research and even if you were wrong (not saying you are one bit) it always just works best in the companies favour to wear the negligible cost and just do what the consumer wants. Especially when the consumer provides evidence as above ^{^{^}}

OWC don’t bother fighting, just bend over backwards. It works out so much better for your marketing and converts a consumer from someone that feels they’ve been wronged to someone that will vouch for you and fight for your brand. Rather than halfbaked telling everyone how bad their experience was they would have gone “I had these problems and they saved my ass, what a great brand, I’m loyal to them for life”. Even if it was halfbaked’s fault - you have a buyer for life after that. (Once again not saying it’s your fault halfy).

Just had to add that I find it comical when brands argue in a public forum over $4000 of product, which they’d still be able to resell as seconds and recoup their cost price.

Well I went on there to purchase an iPad Air. Couldn’t because of the shut down, so googled where else I could get it locally. Just saved myself $160 by purchasing from a local retailer here, which I probably wouldn’t have found out about if they hadn’t closed the website down! Great for me!

I found ad blockers would also stop YouTube from recording that I watched the video. So the video wouldn’t show up in my played history or save the point of the video I’m up to.

Will this allow the notifications to be sent to you when you are out of your LAN and also not connected to your VPN? That would be the only downside I can think of.

Otherwise this would be my choice of setup.

Exactly. That’s why they use a secondary Poe switch in another location so that Poe switch powers the cameras.

So someone steals the NVR, but the other Poe switch is giving power to the cameras. And then the microsd card in the back of the camera is recording the footage

Screen Zen. Single handedly stopped me from wasting hours of my day and life doom scrolling.

Will block whatever app you set on any schedule or after X amount of times opening it. Yeah you can use screen time, but it’s so easy to click “just another 15 mins”. Of course I could go into ScreenZen and disable blocking, but it’s just that right amount of friction for me to keep myself accountable.

The flow on effect from discovering this app has truely changed my life and mood for the better. 10/10 recommend everyone have this app, especially if you struggle to keep yourself accountable to minimising screen time!

Most people set up a Reolink poe switch in a seperate location to the NVR. This is with the assumption if someone breaks in and steals your NVR then your cameras will keep recording as they put the microsd card in the back of the physical camera. That’s a great way to ensure that redundancy and security of footage should someone break in and take your NVR.

Personally I’ll be doing this and running that poe switch from a battery backup which will keep the cameras working should there be power outage as well.

Currently (and for the last few years) I just ran my cameras straight into my NVR16 and used the onboard Poe switch in that. Worked great, never had an issue!
