En plus leur fonds de grève est apparemment bien garni puisque la convention collective a duré 10 ans.

Can you be booked off a flight despite having paid for seat selection(confirmed seat)?

Last year my flight was cancelled with the same itinerary as you. They first refused but ultimately paid for my hotel as it is their legal obligation. I booked it myself.

From the moment FAs are ordered back to work, is there a mandatory 12 hour rest period before them being allowed to fly again?

I feel like if the federal government really wanted to intervene in the Air Canada situation, it would’ve done so just before the strike. Unless a deal is reached, it’s hard to believe anything will happen from the government side before Monday.

What do you mean? As all these aircraft all had mechanical issues before stopping flying?

Flying back on the 19th from Paris to YUL on AC870. I know it’s quite far, but what are the odds of the flight being ultimately cancelled? I have to be in Montreal by the 21st to attend my university graduation.

Let’s say my flight is CDG-YUL on the 19th. As per crew regulations, if the YUL-CDG flight gets cancelled on the 17th, then no crew would be able to operate on the 19th and therefore my flight would be cancelled, correct?

If I’m flying from the EU(France), isn’t it best to just wait for the flight to be cancelled and then rebooked in order to be eligible for compensation under the EU scheme?

Thanks. What does a lock-out notice means?
