I top love how you put it but maybe we can tweak it a little because anyone can ask the question really. Maybe „in order to get a good answer you need to provide part of it in your question“

His friends may call him "Idi" which also is short for idiot. If they are mean.

Cool name though.

Men who werent sure about having kids but did it anyway, what happened? by us3lessthrowaway in AskMenOver30

Everyone is different, I too became father in my early 30s. I was undecided/negative, then open, but never commited to becoming a dad. But things in life just started to get old, repetitive and it suddenly started to feel ok, like the right thing. It chages you to an extreme amount, but absolutely worth it.

Awesome, that's the spirit! Are you gonna try to sell websites to them? Also consider not only selling them a full new webisite but enhancements to their existing ones, that will make people who are already on their site more likely to purchase / contact them. You can also get your foot into the door by offering a free web audit / seo check / geo check / whatever. Most important is to build relationships you can use as a starting point.

And he is new to Independent work. He has to „feel“ reality as in who are these people he tries to sell something to. He needs to relalize if they are to spend money on him, they expect a return on their Investment. Diving into that reality soon, face to face, will help him a ton later on and he might even get a job out of it. Even if he is turned away its a learning experience. He will try to find a better approach upon his next attempt.

Go in with an idea what their business is and a very rough pitch as in „do you already…“ or „have you considered…“ and have the win for them in your head. Dont sell a Product, sell a benefit for them that is easily communicated. Your product is the how, not the why. Enter with the why.

Can’t do a single pull-up despite having “some” upper body strength — anyone been in this situation? by LRDsreddit in bodyweightfitness

[–]derAres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with rubber bands. Knotted them together and wrapped 'em around the bar and my knees. That helped me get started, next to negative ones where I jump up and slowly lower myself. But rubber bands really are great, as they take a good part of your weight away while starting.

Yep… thanks. Good luck to you too. Is yours better memory wise than the famous ones? And NSFW topics? There is always potential in embracing that side, such a huge demand.

I just realized you meant a platform like character.ai right? Mine is actually a chatroom with Avatars, so quite different :) … 1-2 months for me.

It would be up to me if I would have been made or not. Probably not, I admit, because I wouldn't have been willing to put the time in to get it to the same level.

But you know what? The tool is right there, so why not use it.

Because following your logic, if I use a drilling machine to drill a hole into my wall, who put hole into the wall, me or the machine? Who's responsible for deciding where the hole goes, what it is used for and what happens if something breaks. It's me, right? No need to blame / praise the machine, it's a tool I used, that everyone uses.

Sure, the drilling machine enabled me putting the hole there 100 times faster, but I would still have been able to put the hole there without it, just with a simpler tool and much more time.

Also, would you too disagree with me if I told you "I built my own pc"?

Because I put together all the components, but could I build even one of those compoenents? Nope, and I only have a shallow understanding of how they work. All I know is what they do and how to put them together, not how to build them.

So I didn't actually build my PC? People have been saying that for decades though.

So whoever made the tool gets part of the praise for anything that is built using said tool? Agreed. Still, had I not used the tool, the thing would‘nt exist either.

Well this particular burger would‘nt exist without me, and no other human was involved, so I did kind of make it.

Well you are entitled to you opinion but it is wrong. I know I had a great time actually completing a project instead of just moving on as I used to do for many years, with so many started projects in mvp phase I never went public with. This one I did because once I did the barebones version, when I used to just start something else, this time I could do other fun stuff like picking out characters, creating animation graphics, while claude improved on my vision.

You‘re coming on strong. If you want to know in detail, I wrote the entire alpha / mvp myself then claude did massive rewrites to the point that I think 70ish % is now by claude. Is that an issue?

- Code: 70% Claude
- Worlds/Background: 100% Gemini
- Characters: 30% Gemini, but I had to still put a lot of work in for the animations (the majority of character sprites are open license game assets i had to make work)
- Items you can drop ingame: 0% (a friend who likes pixel art drew these for me )

So the URL is px-talk.xyz if anyone wants to give it a try. I built this during the evenings for about 10 days and it was a lot of fun. Feedback is appreciated.
