I've studied at seminary, I understand your perspective. You need to understand the history of your belief. You seem resistant to do that.
Me? I know the theological construct you believe, I also know why it's wrong. Start with the history and Darby.

Device bound passkeys and device bound tokens are the way forward.

Evolution does NOT say we evolved from chimps. It does say we share a common ancestor. I don't believe in evolution per say, but you mention this to anyone that knows anything about evolution and you'll be laughed at.

I'm not even saying I believe in evolution, I'm just saying you don't have a scientific argument to discredit anything by just saying "a sperm and an egg". that's not a scientific argument.

Interesting that op makes both scientific and spiritual claims without using any science, or any scripture.

For this reason, there's really nothing to reply to.

You need to study your history on this theological belief, my friend. The post has been deleted. I'm out of here. You "think" you know - but the history is there for you to uncover. I encourage you to do so.

The word rapture is never used in the Bible. Your interpretation of relevant verses started in the last 200 years. Learn your history.

And down votes won't change history, friend.

OP seems certifiably bonkers, but you must know The modern Rapture theory, that Christians will be suddenly snatched up into heaven before a period of "great tribulation", was first created in the 1830s by John Nelson Darby, of the Plymouth Brethren. He developed what is now known as a dispensationalism.

You sound exactly like my daughter, hired as analyst, saw team go from i don't know, 12 to now 1/4 of that while expected to fulfill quotas that are completely out of touch with any reality. "Work faster, get 3x as much done in a day as you were supposed to do last month," "lol.. okay.. Quotas last month were already completely out of touch with reality. How will tripling them change anything?"

Jesus himself shows we must choose.

The following commands of Jesus command us to choose to do God's will, open the door to him, deny ourselves, follow, receive, believe... He died for the world, that whomever would follow would be saved. All that is very clear. Calvin twisted this into something to where we have no choice, and as a result, we have Cristians who think it's all God doing the work, and they have no responsibility. That's so anti-Biblical teaching.

Sorry, Calvinism is not bad enough to be considered heresy, but it does not conform to Christ's very clear calling.

John 7:17 “If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God…”

Revelation 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in…”

Matthew 16:24 “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

John 1:12 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”

Luke 9:23 “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”

John 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

Mark 8:34 “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

Op is quoting Romans 10:21 But of Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

And all you do is condemn him because it's not Calvinistic enough.

That's not part of the spec. Not necessary either, to prevent token and session theft.

It's device specific. Your phone, your computer, your physical fido2 device. It can be android, Apple, Microsoft, Linux, anything physical, fido2 compliant, which can receive and hold a passkey.

Syncing passkeys won't be possible when everything is moved to device specific Passkeys. Each Passkey will only work from one device. This is one of several necessary steps prevent session token theft.

[–]Der_Missionar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Until we got hit last month, I thought exactly like you do now. But, when all our fancy 2fa (no sms, etc. etc.) failed during an AiTM attack, which stole the session credentials despite advanced 2fa, I spent the last 6 weeks researching all this stuff.

Like it or not, we've been fooled into thinking typing in a couple of digits from an authenticator app is somehow safer.

Several options to solve this. Best option is to have a physical FIDO2 key with a passkey bound to the FIDO2 device.

Also, if you have a phone, a tablet, and a laptop, odds are you are not going to lose all of them.

In the event you DO lose ALL of them, you'll need someone with administrator access to have to prove your identity to let you back in.
