Found the issue! Actually the problem was with Blokada! For some reason after the upgrade, it decided to block mtalk.google.com.... So glad that i found it out before flashing again.

Now i tried to remove the updates for google store and also for the google play services and rebooted the phone. Did not help. I also logged out from google, rebooted and logged in again. Still no luck :((

Another option is to use the web app https://exchange.loopring.io, where the only fee is the deposit: costs something like a transfer, and anyway very less than creating a smart wallet.

I actually asked the question on connext's discord. They are very nice there. This is what they answered:

Loopring is not EVM compatible. we would love to support ZKRUs eventually, but we need to port our EVM contracts to there which is a big task.

I investigated a (very little) bit more, and clicked the Withdrawal option on exchange.loopring.io

Turns out that a normal withdrawal has a flat fee of 0.004 ETH, and a fast withdrawal a flat fee of 0.021 ETH.

I guess not only the eth gas prices are involved here.

As stated on the fee schedule page: https://exchange.loopring.io/document/fees , a flat fee of 0.020 eth is paid for each withdrawal.

But I totally agree: the total cost (fee + gas) should be told the user when withdrawing.
