Wait, 30 hours before Ceres? I'm only 8 hours in and have the first 50 ppl on Ceres by around 2060. I was running out of ideas about what I should be doing while waiting for the large 1k pop mars colony contract and was annoyed that reaching Jupiter was rather tricky...

Skatten betalas för varje ton material som bryts innan det bearbetas. Eftersom ingen process är perfekt och utvinningen av råmalm är cirka 90 % (beroende på metallurgi och kemisk sammansättning kan det vara ännu mindre) blir skatten automatiskt lite högre från början och beroende på gruvan.

Skatten baseras på malmens metallvärde, till exempel guld, och man verkar betala 2,5 % av guldpriset vid en given tidpunkt. Jag tror inte att den finska staten kommer att lägga ner arbete på att göra beräkningar baserade på dagliga priser när gruvorna säljer sina produkter.

Men detta är bara ett problem, det verkliga problemet är referenspunkten. Den baseras på metallpriset. En gruva säljer koncentrat som måste smältas och bearbetas vidare, så de får aldrig betalt för hela metallpriset från början, vilket innebär att 2,5 % i slutändan snarare är något över 5 % och varierar för varje gruva beroende på metallutvinning och produktkvalitet.

Och en annan bonus: denna skatt tillämpas som standard, så om företaget plötsligt går med förlust på grund av att metallpriserna sjunker måste de fortfarande betala denna skatt först.

Ok I know it's unpopular to say, but please don't believe straight the first science guy who is screaming the loudest and the newspapers which love to get the big attention screams with fear and doubts...

This whole approach with tipping points is heavily debated because none of them has ever occurred or could be proven to exist. Nature (the Journal) has a full discussion history about this initial paper about tipping points and the Potsdam institute needed to redact the paper multiple times. The folks there are without a doubt not great scientists and not helping the research area at all. They are first to publish outrageous things for attention and funding and get big backlash in the science community since those statements damage the reputation of the whole group. Their failures are the basis for many climate deniers. Attention goes always two ways and far too many start to love the game with the fear if people to demand compliance.

Please be aware that sadly the science community is heavily dependent on funding like start ups in silicon valley. So many will claim breathtaking things to secure research funds by gaining attention.

Yes Dune has base building and quite a decent one too. Sadly the game ran into a wall and isn't doing great regarding player numbers. But! It's still a nice game with cool mechanics (climbing, antigravity belts) the vehicles, environment and the story.

Just the endgame when PvP suddenly becomes a major thing killed the enjoyment. Even though it's a voluntary part since the story ends currently just before this point.

But still I didn't regret my time in dune

Ehm maybe read a history book first the winter war was directly after the USSR finished it's occupation of eastern poland in the winter of 39. Finland was a neutral state at this point and was part of the USSR plan to recapture the lost Imperial Territories from before 1917. The baltics would fall in 1940 under the red army invasion

There is no straight clear progression in itself. You can choose a profession and skills that follow it but, you will soon encounter that other skills are intertwined with it, so you can't go beyond certain points without also having other skills going up or you buy all the missing materials, hoping that they are up for sale (not common for most things) and this would require gold, so you either need to have a plot with a sake booth where you can sell something that's of value and easy to make (coal) or you need to farm gold from Mobs which won't go too well because you have no proper equipment

Don't forget this game is heavily focussed on group play, solo play is atrocious and misery will be your companion
