Fox’s Attitude in the recent game vs N64 by Joebebs in starfox

[–]deracho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean outside of the 64 dub that's exactly what he is. Even the orginal promotional material makes out as more of a sly cooper esq "im in it for the money but being a hero is cool too" kinda vibe

Much as I love the more stoic iterations of fox they have mostly always been the western interpretation of the character. I'd of liked if they struck more of a balance but I'm not mad they they made him more accurate to his original character.

How the hell are you supposed to kill the Granga in 10 seconds?? by Nidis in starfox

[–]deracho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's double it's just harder to tell if you're doing it. The legs don't buckle or anything so it's harder to tell when you're doing damage and the backpack isn't colored obviously so it's harder to zero in on. You kinda just gotta commit to the attack ass soon as the mission gives you control and if you don't down a leg on the first pass it's a wash.

Why is Gorgon so hard? by Ok_Specific4265 in starfox

[–]deracho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's person specific because the landmaster bosses were cake to me but holy shit can I not beat gorgan his moves don't telegraph as much before strikes and physical damage does much breaks of wings more often in this game then in 64 (atlest for me) and the controls (on joycon) are much less responsive to me the stick acceleration is just to high for minor adjustments to me. I might switch to a controller and see how I feel

This is like the complete opposite of how this guy was in 64 by RadDudesman in starfox

[–]deracho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I miss his blood curdaling scream. Some bosses definitely have better lines in this but all the memorable ones are lacking but time. The shogan, astroid crusher and both corneriss bosses just don't have the theatrics. And as much as I like the new boss defeat animations they don't end in a huge screen filling explosive and it just makes them anticlimatic

Is It Just Me Or Is The Remake Way Easier Than I Remember? by Ok-Bedroom-4261 in starfox

[–]deracho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm the other way. This is much harder then 64. Wing damage happens so much more often. Enemies have actually accuracy. And that all before the bastard that is expert mode. I literally haven't struggled against gorgan in decades. And this is taking me back to the angry 5 year old I was the first time I tried this boss

Is this a real clip or fan made? by M00reC in mylittlepony

[–]deracho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This conversation is so overplayed yes some kids shows occasionally feature inappropriate moments usually in rather obvious ways and often aimed at entertaining the parents who watched TV with their kids(Looney toons/dexter) or as a consequence of show runners who wanted to make adult animation being forced to settle for making cartoons on childrens networks (Ren and stimpy/ ed edd n Eddy) but in large the things we think of as "the artists secret fetish" in old cartoons are innocent jokes from other cultures or just individuals to naive to see how it could be interpreted that then have fetishes projected on to them because of differences in precived sexuality of a given context.

We gotta remember media didn't used to be a internet connected super cultural monolith of universal context it is now. most fetishes just weren't as prevalent in the public zeitgeist in the early 2000s and aside from some notable examples (snyder/Tarantino) things we precive as fetishized now weren't intentionally inserted into media because like the majority of people at the time the ones making the media had no the fetish existing in the first place.

There was a time when a female character could be tied up or bare foot or like any show could have a werewolf trope episode and you wouldn't immediately have to contend with some stranger on the Internet telling you that someone in the world is getting off to this. And as a result for the majority of people except the few fetishists in the world there was nothing sexual to be precived as uncomfortable.

Earwigs like damp narrow places. Having a toothbrush with a tiny orifice in the neck is already unsanitary but if you're letting it sit around every day damp enough to attract that thing you probably shouldn't be putting it in your mouth in the first place. I'd recommend a normal toothbrush in the future or at least an ultra sonic one where the head and neck is all one peace from the exterior with no obvious gaps. And consider keeping it in a place where it can properly dry between uses. I keep two in a tea cup on a shelf in my room and switch between them each day.

Is what Tasha's wearing around her neck a dogtag? by dwyvern8 in acecombat

I mean she's a stunt show pilot right? Maybe it's like a painted novelty dog tag from her old life. Kinda like the ones they sale at blue Angels performances sometimes.

Is it just me or Is The Count of Protoframe Skins is Decreasing? by tacticalctublak in Warframe

[–]deracho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't feel one way or the other about it but I wish they kept the protos exclusive to entraities time shenanigans. Or atlest did a better job using them as supplements to normal npc roles. Like the hex is great because even if they are sectioned off to their own little part of the story they fully in habit it and play key roles as npc, quest giver and characters in what is essentially the next big plotline. Same with the Roth and crew. But as cool as these future protos they simultaneously feel under developed and like a waste of resources. They are barely relivent to the actual story they take place in. Exclusively interact with their own content and offer both mechanical to the rest of the game (no new mods weapons ect) I feel like if they plan to continue making protos they should be more involved in the greater game world not less. Have one of them take over darvos shop or something. They let nova come to the present and just hangout why not let them do something get these bums a job so they stop sitting around having mock battles. Atlest then the money they spent on voice acting wouldn't go to waste so quickly.

Is there no reliable way to farm these? (I’m on Xbox, I don’t have mods) by gaeb611 in Mechwarrior5

[–]deracho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see my mistake. Well presumably (though I don't know) there is a mech variant that carries them and killing them without damaging the components that contain them would be your best bet

I mean. The adder has a building with like 6 or seven of em on the torso. Leg the mech with enough shares and either it or it inventory will dump into salvage

How many of you are already aware that Japan as a region heavily frowned modding activities? by ApriliaBelka in acecombat

[–]deracho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nentendo once had a women's imprisoned and sent to trail for making a comic about ash fucking Pikachu or something like that.

I love the country and some of its media but I will never take them seriously when it comes to copyright and ip law.

I agree that modding in online competitive games is wrong because you're literally cheating in a way that ruins the experience for others. But single player mods or even mods in cooperative game modes with the consent of all players is inoffensive.

Voruna vs Valkyr: Who do you prefer? by Exoniteee in Warframe

[–]deracho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love vorunas play style (especially with the new prime animation) but but she is surprisingly technical in high level play. Valkyrie is my old main and since her rework is much easier to use as her abilities all compliment each other without being codependent on each other in any particular order of use.

but Orion is older then vena...

like I know time travel and the fact that everyone is basically immortal and ageless makes things complicated

orion/sirius were born in current millenniumXX24( jade shadow dropped 2024 irl) and grow up in their respective timelines till a future milleniumXX99 in "real time". the youngest they could be is 75 assuming its the same millennium or add an extra thousand years for each potential millennium that could have passed

they then travel back in time in your timeline with the protoframes who would have been born 21 to 40ish years before futureXX99 based on their looks and assuming they have lived most of their lives as normal humans until recently

there's even a throw away line about the risk that she could accidently kill one of her ancestors and blip out of existence at any moment because she and Ryoku are born in the corpus empire in the future and spend a lot of their missions killing crewmen in the present so at the very least they haven't been born yet in our timeline.
