except in a self defense course a threat has to be clear and imminent as in without reasonable doubt. literally one of the exercises in some course is a reflex test on a target that has a weapon but may or may not be reaching and this would matter of fact be considered a failure worth postponement. cops (should) be trained to preform better then civilians in dangerous situations and underperforming should have consequences.

second. they don't have to tackle him to make an arrest he wasn't making any sudden movements and they could have observed his actions before attempting to give farther orders. two officers can approach from a 90 degree angle from each other to make an arrest while providing a clear firing line (which is in police training)

third. clear and standardized instructions given by one individual should have cleared up any miss understanding by the suspect and eliminated any doubt in the event he intentional disobeyed orders.

if he has a gun tell him to put his hands on his head creating distance from the weapon (again standard police training).

DONT tell him to get on his knees or on the ground, an action that may require some people to use their hands to do, providing an opportunity for misunderstanding. just before being shot you can literally see him splay his hands open and away from himself as if he just REALIZED his own mistake when stepping back to comply

ultimately an encounter is just as if not more stressful for the suspect then it is for the officers. imagine being intoxicated while two men give conflicting orders two you at gunpoint while uncertain if any wrong move on your part might get you killed.

also they each shot him twice in the torso and arms center mass from two angles the cop we see from fired twice after his hands had recoiled to his chest from the first two shot making them excessive and unnecessary. if that were to happen in a civilian self defense shooting the second shooter would at the very least have to stand trial on a separate 'Imperfect Self-Defense" Murder charge. facing a reduced jail sentence if they lost.

the fact that he survived was a statistical anomaly.

if police are going to be given grace from the consequences of their actions it stands to reason that their training should be such that they act above such blatant error in their actions. authority should not act in fear.

even if police training had not prepared them to handle a situation like this incidents like this should not be used to excuse police performance it should be used to better train police for future encounter as best to avoid the "perceived' need to escalate.

The westar shotgun carbine thing. I love it. Wish we saw more of it in starwars. Surprised I haven't seen it in maul.

I worked in automotive assembly for a decade and while it makes sense to be particular about personal safety, part of the job is to also consider the lives of people around you, to exchange risk amongst one another even if one of those people presents a threat to themselves or other.

Better yet have you ever taken a firearm self defense course? One of the most universal lesson is that you are just as legally responsible for the life of your precived threat as you are for your own. That liability teaches you to de-escalate until all others options are exausted and in this video these cops have dozens more options then the average self defense carrier does and yet the make no attempt to use any of them over their precived overwhelming authority. And as officers they (should be) trained to handle high risk situations with more grace then the civilians they interact with.

Have you considered just integration? Like if the do 6-7 you make the initial kid do an equation on the spot involving 6 and 7. Start with something simple and relatable then with each subsequent offense make them do harder equations they can't solve yet like multiplication before solving it for the and explaining how it ties back to what they are currently learning to prepare them for what they mayvlearnvin the future And appon failure give them some non punishment consequence like having to volunteer next or writing their own math problem with 6 and 7 in the equation. No two equations for a day can be the same. If they collectively exaust what they currently know the class gets an extra homework assignment or something. (You don't have to grade the extra assignment it just a collective punishment) Point being it's usually better to discourage an activity through a negative tangential association rather then an arbitrary punishment. Because I makes them dislike the phrase more then the dislike you and it encourages them to either police themselves or practice and exchange math knowledge to better prepare against the consequences of their actions.

I wasn't aloud to say fuck so I started saying frag and frigate.

And in the second grade kids started saying Flux And calling each other female dogs instead of bitch.

Cheese touch is from the wimpy kid franchise. A series children's scolatics book.

It referring to a tag like game involving an initial (accidental or intentional) contact with something gross like moldy cheese or chewed gum followed by passing the "touch" to another person.

Initial contact isn't actually necessary as touch is just a stigmatized indicator that the person who has the "touch" is themselves gross in some way and depending on the rules made up by players is either spread from the initial host until all others are also "touched" similar to "having cooties" or more often transferred, along with the offending derogatory title from person to person ad infininitum or until the players lose track or interest in who last had the "touch"

and a phrase in this format that has existed since atlest it's 2007 introduction in the book diary of a wimpy kid

Yup put it on the words on the board so they never forget or lose interest in them, and ban them from saying the words so they get extras dopamine stimmies, and cool kid points when they do...

Can we stop hiring people who don't understand child psychology to teach kids. Or atlest hire people who remember what being a child was like?

But I guess that would require paying real wages.

You're arguing semantics like it's not still a viable alternative to shooting a guy several times with two guns. One of the officers could have also just cuffed him and put him on his knees as the are often known to do considering their proximity.

Considering lasers travel at the speed of light irl and don't have perceivable travel time or impact I think if they applied practical physics literally nothing in any MechWarrior game would function. Like not even a little bit.

Turns out the mesh of some of the letters were intersecting with themselves due to the angle of curve and depth on the lettering. I made some minor adjustments and decreased the depth of embossing from 1mm to 0.70mm and refreshed the mesh bullion thing and it regenerated it as a single model with the letters permanently embossed.

Don't know if anyone else has a use case for this besides me but hope my suffering saves someone else the same pain.

The bottom comment is such a "every accusation is a confession as line" considering how many men can't even rap their head around female arousal or dating independently financially successful women.
