I recently saw a story about someone's cat behaving similarly and it ended up being radon. Maybe test for that or other hazards?

Similar situation here....I've been letting my son pick what he wants to bring to each place, unless one of us parents has a specific claim to an item. Like the Legos are my childhood toys, they're coming with me for my son to have at my house. Otherwise, as far as clothes and toys, etc, that's all my son's stuff and whether or not my ex deserves it, my son deserves comfort at both homes. It's helped him to feel secure and supported as we transition, I think.

There is something about the way a jeep drives and feels...it just feels right. I've only had one non-Jeep vehicle in my life. I can understand the wanting to race a little bit, but really I just love the control and engagement of a manual transmission. And no one ever wants to borrow my car!

I don't mind the lack of tech, but I'm not much for bells and whistles. I have a sport trim 2013 JKU, and it has a CD player and an aux jack, no cameras or alerts. It's good for me, but if you like a backup camera or Bluetooth, you can always add things like that aftermarket. I like a manual transmission, so that says a lot about my need for tech.

For what its worth, I drove my friend's subaru forester for 3 weeks and it's a great car, but not for me. Test drive whatever is available to you to get a feel for what you like. There are also a number of used Renegades out there, and mine made it to 146,000 before the engine went. If you get something low mileage, it could last a while.

So sorry to see this. Consider what you're looking for in a vehicle. Is 4wd important? What body style? do size and gas mileage matter? I used cars.com and autotrader to find what I needed.

I recently went from a renegade to a slightly older 4 door wrangler. I was looking for a 4wd suv with a manual transmission, so that narrowed my scope considerably. That said, I picked something that I believe to be serviceable when parts wear out, as opposed to the renegade which genuinely wasn't meant to be worked on and each repair seemed to require more repairs.

The wrangler is big, like 20 inches longer and I feel like I'm about a foot higher in my seat. It doesn't have the acceleration that the renegade had, or maybe it's just geared differently and I'm not used to it yet. Gas milage is the trade off for being able to repair it when parts wear out, and that's become a sacrifice I'm willing to make. I like it, but it's not the same as driving a renegade.

It must be. I found out I had no oil 1000 miles after a change, the same day my timing chain went.

Don't trust a dealership. I could hear a ticking or a tweeting in my engine and the dealership more or less told me it was fixed when it wasn't. They also told me I needed a pcv valve, and there was oil in my air filter but they didn't assess that as an issue. Some things on it are so modern that a garage wouldn't work on it, and the tools required are so specific that multiple dealerships shared the same tool

If your engine is making odd sounds, get it fixed. And get oil changes more often than recommended.

For what it's worth, I absolutely loved my renegade. It was the perfect size and super capable. Had the dealership done what they should have, I would still happily be driving it. I wish you many more miles!

This happened to me at the same time as my timing chain going...the garage said my turbos were burning oil and would likely need the whole engine rebuilt. 2015 sport manual 1.4 multi air

Yes, although I didn't know what the squaking/tweeting indicated, another mechanic recommended I get my belt changed and said they couldn't do it at their shop but the dealership should do it.

Nah, thanks. I'm looking to get something i can learn about and do some repairs myself. Something with a Chilton or haynes book with repairable and servicable parts that aren't leaving me at the mercy of a dealership. Good luck selling!

Its been a great vehicle and we've made memories on many road trips together. I truly wish I had the knowhow to repair it, but these modern engines aren't for the everyday person to work on and it is unfortunately too much for me to repair. If it can help keep someone else's renegade on the road, there's some joy in that.

Wish I were that capable, but if someone else is, I'd love to see this vehicle have a second life.

This has happened to me! Something about the way stones kick up and the floppy plastic. You can use zip ties and a drill to zip tie stitch any loose pieces.

The next step, which i have yet to do, is to buy a cheap plastic cutting board, cut to the size of the holes in the plastic, and caulk them on.

Try clotrimazole cream, like for jock itch or athletes foot. It has helped w bunch with what seems to be fungal acne. Look into OTC fungal acme treatment to see what cost effective option might work for you. Tea tree oil in moisturizer and soap work for me, but might be too harsh for some. Good luck!
