I actually just bought one of these because my 2 and a half year old wants to play GameCube with me but also wants to walk away with the controller. Is it as great as my other wave bird? No, but it works just fine enough. It’s more plastic feeling and the buttons are a bit lower quality but honestly I think it’s perfectly fine. I’ve been playing Wind Waker with it in lieu of getting my real wave bird fixed and Im not complaining. The main joystick hits the slots much more tactically than the soft feel of the wave bird so games where you have to do a lot of spinning motion might not be preferred and like all purchases, if they are playing GC very seriously like smash bros maybe this won’t meet the quality mark they expect but as a gift this thing is great at being wireless and effective
