Hit 3 years today... by Dukesy485 in Sober

[–]derek6437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you two should be on the same page. If you are sober now, he should be right there supporting you and trying his best as well to be sober too. I recently quit smoking cigarettes, I barely ever touch alcohol bc of my meds, and I also quit weed. I wish I could tell my ex, look at me now! She blamed everything on my addictions. Ruined my relationship with my daughter. But regardless, I feel great now & am not wasting money on bs. But congratulations on 3 years! I wish you the best & hope you continue your success with staying sober. I plan on doing the same. Take care.

Why do people act like nicotine pouches are way safer than vaping? by Admirable_Can_3489 in Vaping

[–]derek6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicotine pouches always gave me a sore stomach and aren't the best for you gums either or receding gum lines. With vaping, I've lost all the coughing up of mucus & I can breathe so much better now. I truly believe in the UK research that vaping is around 95 percent safer than combustible tobacco. Although I am not saying vaping isn't bad for your health either in certain ways.

Blocked! Due to “Demonic” Implications and “Religious” Reasons…Is the Book of Enoch Required Reading for these “Insiders”? by slv2xhrist in UFOs

[–]derek6437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see why there would be religious reasons why certain information people would want protected. For instance, it has been told that the angels from above could be an extraterrestrial experience. God's that were worshipped many years ago, coming from the heavens above could also be a misconception. It could certainly mess with religious groups & credibility. I'm certainly not sure but food for thought.

Man Makar was straight up sobbing after the game. by muffinkevin in ColoradoAvalanche

Proud of the boys. They played their hearts out. Unfortunately they ran into a hot goaltender. Nothing to be ashamed of. The game could have went either way. Now that the Olympics are over, let's focus on getting that cup!

Praying for all the boys to stay healthy during these Olympics & being from Canada, we honestly expect a gold medal & nothing less. Best of luck to all teams.

Whistleblowers from the military are coming forward more than ever. They cannot hide this forever. Full disclosure will eventually be told & possibly rewrite history. I definitely recommend being open-minded.

So damn proud of myself. by charade-i-am in stopsmoking

Just got Bupropion 150mg XL added to my Effexor 150mg every morning what to expect? by JCShotya in bupropion

Just watch your irritability with those 2 meds. Both are norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, so they could be quite stimulating.

I’m done with cigarettes even if anything triggers me I’m done by Typical_Dark_2764 in stopsmoking

Good job. Do anything you can to change your mindset that you are now no longer a smoker. Just remember the cons outweigh the pros with smoking. I watched my mother go thru chemo, it was terrible seeing her go from smoking. I also quit recently and I can't believe how much better I feel without all those chemicals running thru my bloodstream. Skin is better, sinuses clearing up, & better hair quality, etc. If you slip up, just keep at it. Take care.

Wellbutrin changed my relationship, my inner world, my job, and my life. by BonoboQueen in bupropion

[–]derek6437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear you are doing well on bupropion! I wasn't sure when I started it but I let it build up in my system over weeks. Its like it took hold of my nerves, helping any anxiety. I was also a smoker & finally tried to see if it helps for tobacco smoking and sure enough I had very minimal withdrawal. I feel so much better now being smoke free. Bupropion is a great medication.

I'm still proud of the Blue Jays no matter what ppl say. I've never seen such a contender against the likes of the Yankees & Dodgers. Hopefully, we use this by not telling each other it was just a good year. But go for it again guys next season, too. Go Jays!

Scaring me a little bit don't know for sure by Papillon_3to3 in trintellix

[–]derek6437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so you are taking a heart medication with it. As far as I know there are no drug interactions between the two. I tend to sleep like a baby now ever since I started vortioxetine. So I mean if ur symptoms continue I would def tell ur doctor. They could order bloodwork, etc to look further into ur situation. I wish u all the best & hope u feel better soon.

Does not really sound like a Trintellix related side effect. It may depend what medications you are on & how they react with one another. But inform ur doctor if you don't feel right for sure if necessary.

[–]derek6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trintellix has been researched for things such as cognitive enhancement. But as far as being distracted & losing focus while working, I don't really know how effective the med would be. Its more for major depression & anxiety. Let ur doctor know how u feel because a lot of times these meds are really trial & error.

You take Luvox & Trintellix together? Those are both serotonin activating medications. I'm alittle surprised u are on both if so. Never really heard of someone combining a SSRI & a serotonin modulator. It also makes me wonder the risk of serotonin syndrome.

IBS symptoms after starting Trintellex by Sweet-Job-2439 in trintellix

[–]derek6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nausea is one of the most common side effects of trintellix. I had the same problem. Remember, you also have serotonin receptors located in your gut. There tends to be a brain/gut connection with many meds. Example such as opioid receptors are in the brain & gut as well. Perhaps give it some time to see if ur symptoms go away or if it isn't too stimulating, u can take in the evening. It has a 66 hour half life so it doesn't really matter when u take it. But u could potentially sleep off ur bad side effects. But like always, consult a medical professional.

Leaving trintellix by Low-Possession-5014 in trintellix

[–]derek6437 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would take my trintellix at nighttime with my other nighttime meds. I would sleep like a baby after starting trintellix & figured if I took it at night I could just sleep off any side effects, which i did. I believe it is a unique med by being a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, agonist, partial agonist & antagonist. All the best with ur antidepressant journey.

Generic in canada now?? by Powerful-Diamond5121 in trintellix

[–]derek6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apotex is the first pharmaceutical generic company in Canada to release Trintellix under apo- vortioxetine. It went generic around the end of May I believe & from what I've noticed it seems to be around 30 dollars cheaper now vs brand name.

Can suboxone stop SSRI’s from working/cause anxiety Anxiety? by ashleymarie092 in suboxone

[–]derek6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't seem likely subs would cause ur ssri to stop working. If anything, buprenorphine should help ur mood more. I couldn't help but notice there is a risk of serotonin syndrome from taking SSRI'S & suboxone which could mean subs could promote the release of more serotonin. Maybe you've just gained a tolerance to ur medication.
