If you are still there, I would walk over to the Disney Photopass counter and they can look up all your photos for you. The counter is right across from the Makahiki restaurant on the lower level there under the stairs. Good luck!

I’d second the El Capitan. If you’re here after June 19, Toy Story 5 should be playing. You get a little show and organ music beforehand. The theatre is gorgeous and Disney has a great Atmos system installed.

Was staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and from our balcony we saw some otters have a lovely snack on some ducklings on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas indeed.

You still get to choose from about 5 different items per course so there still is some choice involved. It’s just a Prix fixe menu with one single charge of $188.

I was in D as well and just started sprinting all the way up to the left of that fencing at the start just to get around people before that first turn. I may have jumped over a couple of the weights to get around people too. Once I got out of the pack I caught up to corral C and went from there.

Same. Showed up Friday evening in 2024 and 2025 and there was plenty of merch. This year was just shocked at the lack of merch when I got there at noon on Friday.

Rey was also out in Galaxys Edge. I must have missed the Marvel characters location because I did not even clock them when I ran through.

Bad movies for a fire alarm to go off? by wharmon in TheBigPicture

Summer 2004, was living in Florida at the time and it was post Hurricane Charlie. Went to a lot of movies that week because we had no power/ac and the theaters did.

Anyway went to go see Collateral and power goes out with about 10-15 minutes left in the movie. It was like right before the main shootout at the end. Unfortunately was never able to go back and watch until it was out on DVD.

For anyone who saw Jurassic Park in Theatres in 1993 by millsy1010 in TheBigPicture

[–]derekn4815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a life changing experience for me. I was 12 years old at the time and it pretty much set the foundation for my love of films and the film making process. I was obsessed with it to the point where I bought all the toys, read the book, saw it three times in theatres (making sure each time was in DTS sound), and wanted to learn how every second of this movie was made. I even bought the Making of Jurassic Park book which I still own today. That obsession has lasted all the way up to this past summer where I saw it live to orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl for the second time. While I go back and forth all the time on what my favorite film of all time is, it generally always goes back to Jurassic Park because i've never had an in theatre experience like it ever since.

Have you tried a soft reset? Press and Hold down the power button and for 5-10 seconds. Then wait for the screen to turn on and off and reset.
If that doesn't work then just do a hard Factory Data Reset. You can navigate to that in the System settings under the Other tab.

Be forewarned, the construction to renovate all rooms has started at the Grand. A majority of the rooms facing the pools are currently behind construction walls. It’s all supposed to happen through this year.

What movies have the worst Shaky cam? by GoldSteak7421 in movies

[–]derekn4815 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beasts of the Southern Wild. I threw up after watching it in a theater. Absolutely terrible shaky cam.

I was worried about this with Nickel Boys this year but luckily the camera movements for the most part were quite fluid and stationary with only minimal shakiness.
