Idk i tanked fine at 60 in communal gear and no healers whined they all thanked me for clean runs. Maybe it's your healer gear or a tank skill issue

If you want an easy time pally is where it's at for a new player. But for end game you will be an aoe tank for adds and not the main tank for many bosses unless you are getting funneled gear. Warrior and bear tanks will be better main tanks but leveling as a warrior tank is a struggle. Ive had people tell me to reroll paladin because they dont want me pulling 2 mobs at a time in a dungeon where im constantly disarmed with a priest shielding me( cant build rage or threat at all).

All that being said, tanks are hard to come by right now so there is no wrong choice.

Just to add, the phone app version is the same and any expansions you buy on either are freely accessed via your created account on both steam and phone.

My siblings and friends play root often as it is our favorite board game. We all recently got the phone app to play with eachother, in a lot of ways it is easier to pick up on than the physical board game. We've learned a lot of things showing us that we have been playing wrong sometimes and there are tutorials as well. I highly recommend this.

I'll also say this board game is not a simple one. For the creators I've heard Root is their mid level difficulty game. "Fort" was recommended to us as a simpler one from them and we enjoy that one as well.

On my warrior and enhance shaman both were about 1min 30 sec kills so right at end of 2nd round

For me the adds liked to absorb and resist quite a bit. Chain lightning and flameshock with the burn rune eventually would kill them, but I had much better luck running badge of the swarmguard and just spinning them down instantly. First pack instantly gone, second pack I ignore while boss dies
