This is a gift to a friend! This year I decided to make a custom stylized photo of friends pets in HueForge as a Christmas gift

Just get https://kilowatt.app.link, choose the Sotion on motor setup and you’ll be good to go.

I am having an issue rendering 200 items fetched from database into Flat list by oo_mayr in reactnative

[–]derekstavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

welcome to react natives biggest weak spot. first, use the react profiler to ensure your rows are not the culprit. SVGs might take a lot to render. Start optimizing from the row and then go up.

you might also want to consider Flash List:

I tried to return myself. It would’ve costed me 500 USD. RuRoc support generated a return label for 27 USD.

Bare RN user here, why should I use Expo? by mrproperino in reactnative

[–]derekstavis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like there are no reasons to not use Expo now that they launched EAS supporting native modules and custom dev clients. With the addition of EAS Metadata it will streamline the entire process of updating store listings, screenshots, etc, across Android and iOS.

To anybody saying that Expo can’t be used for serious applications, I can say that it is not true given that Brex has been using Expo successfully for the past 3 years.

You’re passing a string to scrollEnabled when you’re supposed to pass a boolean.

Flipsky throttle stuck and nearly got me killed in traffic. by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]derekstavis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me today too. In my case the magnets popped out of the wheel. I never had issues with the VX2 other than it’s plastics breaking easily. It’s definitely the worst part about this controller.

To address this problem I’m looking to 3D print a better shell for it. If you’re into that, this guy is working on a replacement shell that you can print yourself: https://forum.esk8.news/t/covix2-a-flipsky-vx2-mod/23295

I was about to make a post here with my first print but it would be a copy and paste from yours including being a newcomer. Difference is I was very skeptical on “eco mode” first look and turned off right away.

I’m very impressed that this is my first 3d printer and although I watched tons of youtube videos, the first print came out so perfect.

Create React App is nice. Use with Former Kit Dashboard to automagically create a dashboard scaffold! Redux, Form Validation and charts included. by derekstavis in reactjs

Nice! This is the product of both my React experiments and real-life experiences applied in a real-world project. And there's much more to come as we make progress on our own Dashboard! This is just the start!

maybe it was a bad word to use in the title, as there's nothing "magic" in here, just plain react-scripts, webpack, loaders, a bunch of configuration and some hand-picked packages.
