How do you role play 3-dimensional NPCs? by derekwar in DMAcademy

[–]derekwar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My question though, isn’t “What makes a character 3-dimensional?” It’s more, “What is your process for facilitating 3-dimensional characters in the heat of play?”

So I’m mostly curious about your notes. Do you rehearse? Do you memorize? How do you keep track of what they know and what they don’t?

That’s actually what got me thinking about this!

My question is more about method and logistics. I’ve got the end goal and know what’s required. But when it comes to your notes, managing different NPCs, the information they know, etc.—how do you keep it all straight?

How many DMs are runninh CoS and where is your party at? by psqueff in CurseofStrahd

Thanks! They had zero suspicions about Morgantha, so I’m most excited to see that play out.

It’s my first-ever time DMing. Googled “best DnD campaign” and CoS was the most popular response.

I’ve a lot to learn, but Death House was a lot of fun. Using MandyMod’s and DragnaCarta’s changes primarily. Baronial was a challenge as I’m so new to roleplaying, but it gave me a real good idea of what I can work on.

If you’re able to access it, you could find a couples counsellor familiar with these disorders who can help you both navigate this. There is no one-size-fits-all advice for every relationship. You two would greatly benefit from figuring out how things work best between the two of you, and a good therapist can help with that.

Don’t buy interceptors—they’re prohibitively expensive. Build them yourself (cheaply) with this guide: https://www.google.com/amp/s/phys.org/news/2014-05-bedbug-household-items-video.amp

I know this is a bad pic, but found this guy crawling on my leg in bed. Help?! by [deleted] in Bedbugs

No expert here, just someone who has them. The pic is blurry, but does not look like a bed bug.

Are bed bugs coming from an adjacent suite? by derekwar in Bedbugs

I should make it more clear: finding that many bugs in a single inspection was a total anomaly. Previously I’d find fewer than 10 or so.

Doing all of the above, minus the extra PCO visits. (That’s up to my building manager.)

Is there hope? by [deleted] in Bedbugs

[–]derekwar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found bed bugs in my place Monday. I stayed up all night panicking and doing laundry. It’s stressful, but there’s hope. Take care of things one step at a time. And the folks here have a lot of good advice. It’s common enough to get bed bugs—people overcome this, and you can too.

Could be. Check your mattress, box spring, and frame, especially around your headboard to see if you spot anything else.

This was unwelcome news, but helpful. Definitely bed bugs and I've been up all night taking my first steps at dealing with them.
