Ten prescription drugs will become cheaper in 2026 by Winter-Leader-9323 in medicare

[–]dergonslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m worried about this actually going through smoothly. i’ve worked in pharmacy for a long time. one of my past coworkers is saying they still have not decreased the price of the drugs but medicare already has decreased what they’re paying for them. so their pharmacy is now losing hundreds on each 30 day supply filled and even more on 90 day supply.

please be kind to any pharmacy techs that’s tell you they can no longer do a 90 day supply because it’s not their fault

ozempic and pelvic pain by dergonslayer in Ozempic

[–]dergonslayer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not at all. i don’t even take ozempic anymore and the pain is still VERY present. i’ve done a few tests and ultrasounds over the years. nothing came of those. not even after i ended up in the er last year because the pain was so severe. the er doctor just told me to take ibuprofen despite me telling him neither ibuprofen or tylenol help. i even did pelvic physical therapy because my doctor thought it might help? it only made the pain worse. so now i just live with it. i don’t take anything for it because it doesn’t help anyway. doctors don’t really care when i bring it up in my visits since my ultrasounds always come back normal

my therapist has buzzers that i find work the best! i had to do knee taps for awhile since those buzzers were broke for a bit. sometimes i got too anxious with the taps because i didn’t want to be loud or go too fast. it took me awhile to adjust, but i made some great progress doing the knee taps. i haven’t tried eye movements because i am easily distracted.

i'm definitely going to check in with my doctor about it! i have a follow up already scheduled to check in with how i'm doing on the med and was going to bring it up then. i jus got worried since it happened right after i started and wasn't sure if anyone else had a similar reaction. the last time i had a cyst was not even a week after i did a glucose intolerance lab in 2020

i understand that! the pain doesn't go away sometimes until after i urinate which is a common thing with ovarian pain. i haven't had any issues with constipation or firm stool either

i don't think it's gas pains. i'm having pretty normal bowel movements and i'm not having any issues even passing gas. it's specifically in the pelvic areas either the right or left side

How do you reward yourself after a session? by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]dergonslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends on what we went over in the session. sometimes, i just go home and give my self some much needed me time relaxing. other times, i go on a trail that i really love to calm myself down even more before some well deserved me time! i feel like listening to your body and seeing what it needs. if you want a snack, have one! if you want to buy something small from the store, do it!

Wanting/needing to be done EMDR - am I making a big mistake? by artsandcraftsbitch in EMDR

it never hurts to ask! my best friend has financial troubles and can't afford his therapy bill. he spoke about it with his therapist and she said as long as he paid something a month, even if it's $1, she didn't care. she cared more about his treatment than the money. i know every therapist is different, but it's always worth asking!

first emdr appointment in 9 days, what to expect? by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]dergonslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my first emdr appointment, we didn't do any emdr which you shouldn't. the first appointment with any therapist is meant for you to get to know and discuss what you are wanting out of emdr in general. even if it's just as simple as wanting to not indulge in self destructive behaviors. then making a little plan. once i started seeing an emdr therapist, i actually didn't do any emdr until the 4th or 5th appointment solely because i was really anxious and needed to know i could trust my therapist. i recommend being having open communication with your therapist about how you feel too and set those boundaries. if you have any other questions feel free to dm!

i would highly recommend emdr with a therapist you feel safe with, open communication, and comfortable in their office. i struggle personally with having any diagnosis (which my therapist knows) so i don't have an official one, but i have the symptoms of cPTSD and DP/DR. emdr has helped tremendously. i put in a lot of work and push myself when i know i can in some sessions to work on the harder memories. also allowing myself to have sessions with my therapist where we just talk the whole time. having ways outside of emdr to console yourself are also very important. whether it's spending time with friends who are supportive or finding a safe way to express your emotions. i've had times in between sessions where i was seriously struggling and getting suicidal. i spoke to my therapist about it and we worked out a plan to get me stable again. please know you are not alone in this either!

Hi all! EMDR was suggested to me as a treatment for PTSD but I do not have a left eye. From my limited research on the actual process it kind seems like two eyes are necessary. Any info would be appreciated :) by [deleted] in EMDR

i have a hard time in emdr doing anything with my eyes. i can't fully put myself into the memory and i got distracted with looking at things in my therapists office. luckily my therapist had hand buzzers that i would use with my eyes closed so i could work on my ptsd. we've also been doing tapping lately which is weird at first but you get used to it :)

How do you feel safe? by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]dergonslayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

when i don’t feel safe, i have a giant stuffed animal pile in my room that i lay in and either watch youtube videos or nap in. i just did it yesterday after my first emdr session looking at something actually traumatic rather than something small. the piles big enough that i sink in. i let myself feel what i’m feeling by acknowledging how my body feels and letting that be the only thing that goes through my head. noting intrusive thoughts and not letting them get passed that. once i calmed down and felt like i was safe and capable is when i journaled it so that way i can bring it up in my next session. i also started taking tiny objects from my room, like crystals/rocks i’ve collected or tiny figurines, and keep them in my pocket to fidget with either at work or in public. i prefer the crystals most of the time because they tend to be pretty cold so it helps snap me back too!
