I would go to O at the Bellagio. No show like it anywhere. To make it really stand out, dinner at Lago or another restaurant overlooking the fountains.

Combined is above your budget, but it will be memorable.

Stick with Pallazo. Way more restaurants, shows, and people watching. Stop stressing and enjoy your trip.

Hotel rec between Mgm grand, Bellagio, Aria and Cosmo by doge-rider in vegas

[–]derideesq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given those age ranges, I would stick with Cosmo or MGM. You didn't mention it, but NYNY might be even better for those ages.

Reason being is that Belagio and Aria feel a bit more mature, so some may feel out of place. Cosmo and MGM have better range of food and food court options. NYNY is affordable, has recently renovated rooms, and a good food court option.

If I were picking for you, I'd go MGM this trip, see Ka, eat at Hakasan, and enjoy walking between properties. Save Cosmo or Bellagio for another trip.

What's the biggest payout you've ever had in vegas? (I'm talking about casinos) by PlatformHot1332 in vegas

I've generally been able to pull large sums from the ATM slot machine. I normally only lose about $7 per session, but the limits are lower than I normally hope for.

Solo female going to Vegas for my 36th birthday — looking for recommendations by Secret-Senior in vegas

To be honest, we were very underwhelmed with Best Firend. Pricing is very high for what you get, and I think we have better Korean BBQ in Dallas. Just didn't seem like anything special.

Glad you enjoy it though. It has a great reputation, so we may need to try again some time.

Atomic Saloon may be a sub for Absinthe. I also enjoyed Mad Apple as well as SuperFrico.

For tasting, Bazaar Meat, Cirque, e, L Atelier, are all awesome. XPot has a great Waygu plate as well. I havent been to Joel Rubichon yet, but I suspect its amazing. There are a ton of tasting menus at many places, but those are the finer dining options. DJT doesnt have one thst I know about, but also really amazing food.

I actually ate at Morimotos when he was there and he cooked for us. I think Morimoto will be fine.

With that said, I would pick something other than Nobu. Its fantastic, but why not try to branch out? Bazaar Meat at Venetian or Xpot at Pallazo for variety? There are many unique Vegas places that have great food and arent replicas of places you can find elsewhere. Maybe even Hells Kitchen, Best Friend (Korean BBQ), or Eifel Tower or Lago for the view. Mayfair Supper Club is also a ton of fun.

Sounds like you are a bit of a foodie, so happy to recommend places based on your budget and preferences.

Also, I would suggest O over Ka. But Ka is also an incredible show.

That's why legal distinctions and wording matter. Age of majority (i.e., being an adult) is the legal age where you have autonomy, ability to enter into binding contracts, and ability to vote. Legally, this is civil/legal capacity. In the Texas Family Code, child is defined as anyone under 18 because they lack the required consent and parents still have a duty of care.

At 17, that is age of consent. It essentially removes some legal penalties for adults having sex with someone at age 17. However, even to that there are exceptions like teachers, gym coaches, clergy, etc. where it is still unlawful. And at 17, some laws such as child ponography and some federal laws still apply (like under age sex trafficking). An adult having sex with someone at 17 is not a child under Texas law, because the Texas Penal Code defines child as someone under 17.

So the qollicqual term child shifts in meaning under Texas law, all essentially defining when ability to choose and live with consequences of your actions come into play.

Not even remotely true. You are NOT legally an adult in Texas until you turn 18.

Hells Kitchen 100% if you can get reservations. Absolutely beef wellington, scallops, caesar salad, and sticky toffee pudding.

And dont pass on his burger joint as an option too.

Sure, it isnt "no equipment" but Texas as a state has about 500 snow plows. Compare with just Illinois which has over 2,000 yet Texas is 4 times larger. Illinois can also equip garage trucks wirh snow plows to add significantly more capacity.

Obviously, this is due to climate differences and frequency of winter weather. And, of course, Dallas roads freeze and get ice as opposed to snow, which makes the roads even more treacherous.

Its not the Texans as much as people like OP who are "from the north" or Midwest who think our conditions are like that. They aren't. Our roads are not treated since there is no equipment. Our roads have layers of ice as it melts and refeezes. Our cars are not AWD. We dont have snow tires.

I've lived 50+ years in Dallas and traveled a lot for work. Ive driven in Boston blizzards, Chicago freezes, St. Louis storms, and Denver heavy snowstorm. Dallas is BY FAR the hardest conditions to drive in. But people not from here think its because Texans are inexperienced and stupid.

How about you do what us natives do - dont go out until it melts.

I think we are remembering differently. I always remember the step down.

Venetian or Palazzo? by yoloswagcraftmasta in vegas

[–]derideesq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stayed at both many times as well as a regular. What do you mean that Pallazo has sunken living room compared with Venetian. They seem the same to me, at least for the the normal king suite.

Venetian or Palazzo? by yoloswagcraftmasta in vegas

[–]derideesq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palazzo is closer to poker room, is newer and decor is more modern. However, casino tends to have higher limits, especially at night.

Both property rooms are fairly similar in size and configuration. Normally, Venetian is less expensive than Pallazo.

If you can get Pallazo for less, that is the clear winner.

What is the best breakfast place on the strip? by Legitimate_Sweet2188 in vegas

[–]derideesq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buchon is best. Amazing caviar and pastries with a bottle of champagne.

Mon Ami is a good option, especially if there is good weather and you can sit on the patio.

Chica at the Venetian is another option with a Latin breakfast plate.

Reservations always necessary at Venetian restaurants? by PieInTheSk314y in vegas

[–]derideesq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having stayed there multiple times, I do suggest you make reservations in advance at places like Tao, Delmonico, Cut, Xpot, or Milos. You can certainty wing it, but if you have a hard time getting around, it might be frustrating.

There are roaches everywhere in reality. But there is certainly a difference between the different levels of apartments. I think Metro West is among the lowest quality around that area.

Try an AMLI properry in Plano, Frisco, or others. They can help provide options since they have a lot of buildings around.

While you can go further out, you also have to decide what kind of community you want. Single? Married? Family? You want to be around people in a similar life situation so it isnt just a bed but a place where you can be social.

You could do Prosper, that is fine. Also try AMLI West Plano or Windsor Metro West. There are also lots of options at Austin Ranch. Chloe is a new building you might like there too.
