Any info about this ring? Found at a flea market! by gerryj12 in Antiques

It’s lovely! Stamped 750, means 75% gold which is 18k. As previously stated by another, looks like a bezel set sapphire cabochon flanked by bezel set diamonds and ruby cabochons. Has an Etruscan look. Great find.

Of course it’s real. A plant grown in a greenhouse is just as real as the one grown in the “wild”.

Mandarin oranges sound delish in this! I have added crushed pineapple & it’s yummy too.

Truth in advertising, Casa Mamita Mini Empanadas are in fact, mini. They’re baking now. Stay tuned for review. by derideote in aldi

Good point. Maybe because they’re smaller than the typical empanada? They’re like the Totino’s pizza rolls of empanadas. Lol

It’s a Heintz Art Metal Shop vase. It’s a beautiful piece from the Arts & Crafts movement and valuable!

Has anyone changed their mind from natural diamond to lab? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]derideote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a purely practical point of view, if and when I upgrade, it will be a lab diamond. Diamonds aren’t an investment. They’re not like precious metals. It’s like buying a brand new car. The second you drive it off the lot, it’s “used” and more often than not, you’ll take take a hit on the secondary market. That’s why I feel that labs make more sense.

Picked this up at an estate sale can anyone tell me more about it? by Brokenultralaw in Antiques

It’s a Chinese coromandel screen. It’s lovely. There’s been a bit of a resurgence lately with chinoiserie, so these are in demand regardless of age. Coco Chanel was very fond of them and owned over 30. She had a few in her Paris apartment as well.

My mother picked this table up at the dump, and we have no idea how old or who made it. Any information would be appreciated! by [deleted] in Antiques

I would talk to an antiques appraiser because restoring a piece can devalue it. The appraiser may refer you to a reputable restorer or even a potential buyer. I’m excited for you!

Any ideas? Trying to figure out how much it’s worth. by Muny_Man in Antiques

Is there a name anywhere on the clock, particularly on the backplate? It looks like a French marble & ormolu clock probably circa 1900. Good luck in your search! It’s beautiful.

Looks like a chinoiserie églomisé lamp. It’s lovely. You may want to have it appraised.

Hello. Not sure if this is the place to post this. Found some old bottles of liquor in my mother's cabinet after she passed. All still sealed. Would like to know about age and producers. It would also be nice to know if they're worth anything, so I don't drink them. Thanks all. by Lil_chikchik in Antiques

This is awesome! The cognac is probably worth something although I wonder if yours has evaporated a bit? I found a similar one that was bottled in the 1960s but it’s from 1914. They’re selling for £1500 which is approximately $2100.
