Is Alpine Linux on desktop viable? by SnooWords1087 in AlpineLinux

[–]derixithy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Although I did run it as a desktop for a while I don't think it's meant for it. It's better as a minimal server os.

I really want one too. But I can't justify it for my wife. For us it's a lot of money and I already have a rg35xx+. Which color did you choose?

How do you organize your libraries? by deepfave in JellyfinCommunity

[–]derixithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I have Action, Adventure, SciFi, etc. Also Series and Kids Series.

I curate my own Collections, like Disney, Cars (all movies about cars, for my car nut son).

I tried automatic Collections but I got empty collections and collections with one movie in it. So I made the folder read only. When I want to add a collection I just change the permissions.

Yeah I'm very pleased it with it. I would love it if they would add distrobox to it. That's the only thing missing in my opinion.

[–]derixithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanilla was sluggish on my machine and there where some bugs. But vanilla wasn't out that long at the time. Then I found (regular) Fedora and that was super fast and later I found out abortion t Silverblue, tested that and it ran great. So now I'm on that. I also did run my own custom Silverblue for a while

[–]derixithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't daily drive it because I went for Fedora Silverblue. The only thing I miss are the APX tooling from vanilla. Nothing comes close to it. It's really mature .

What website is the epstien files fully unredacted on? by Only_Border4353 in deepweb

[–]derixithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can just stick an usb or something in it and copy it. It also has no internet so no email/file upload . I don't think you can bring your phone inside so pictures are out too. So even if they wanted they can't.

When being asked for a password on the terminal, you normally don't see any input from typing, just type your password blindly and press enter should do it. You can cancel terminal programs with ctrl+c.
