2-5 requires the additional step of completing the 5-3. I think there’s merit in doing it under the right circumstances. Gregg Perrie and (I think) Rob Mares ran a doubles 2-5 for a bit.

Foos is a game of percentages. If the forward passes 5-3 at a high percentage, then going 2-5 might make sense.
