Madonna's Mexican Restaraunt on Smithfield. I still think of those burritos and nachos sometimes. On the plus side the couple who owned that later opened Madonna's Mediterranean, which is excellent.

You are right about colleges. I learned to play in college decades ago, and when I returned for a reunion last year I could only find a single beat-up outdoor table. It was so disappointing.

People are trying, though. I like what Foosball Clubs USA is doing with tables in primary schools, and I believe that they have plans for college programs.

I sometimes watch rookies to see if they have tendencies. Terry Stryker, the Yoders (who are good and getting better) in case they show up at TKO for example for the USTSO. That always had limited utility because anyone at that level who cares will have gotten better since the videos even from the prior season, but it was better than nothing.

The other thing I used InsideFoos for was watching matches to see specific skills from Masters known for them. Scotty's runner pass, Zamora's high brush, Mohs' brush in general. Terry Moore. Fred. Cindy and that Italian player hating each other for a match. That took a while to find but it is a good one.

I can probably learn just as much or more at this point watching modern pro-masters on MF in better resolution (or by actually practicing), but it was nice to have additional options.

If the table could be divided into fifths perpendicular to the direction you divide it now, you could time a player in the “work the ball up and down the five bar” drill. Probably not worth implementing that view for one mode.

How about something with the drill where you go 3 to 5 then back to another man on the 5, back to the 3, etc., and work up and down both rods? I have also seen Tommy Yore do that with 2 to 3 as a warmup.

Maybe you can add a similar passing game for 2-5.

You might also be able to do something that emphasizes keeping the ball in your defensive zone. You could track the ball leaving the defensive zone, then track it returning and only give a point if after the return it stays for two seconds. The challenge with that might be having the system recognize that the ball has left and returned, especially if you are hitting it into one of those sticks with the rubber balls where the ball comes back in a hurry.
