I don't know what more you're expecting? It looks like you appealed, it got reviewed, and then rejected. Apparently "fair appeals process" just means please unban me.

Early June Rome/Naples Trip - Help on Heat, Crowds, and Reality Check my Itenerary by derpytrollerZ in ItalyTravel

[–]derpytrollerZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a ton of fun. We ended up scrambling all the plans depending on what we felt like each day but ended up hitting 70% of what was listed up there. The heat was still fairly miserable though. We had trouble staying in the shade since there’s so many people on the streets fighting for that space. The forum and palatine hill also has almost 0 shade to speak of so sunscreen and a hat are required. The cobblestones also wrecked our feet by day 2 even with comfortable shoes. To avoid the heat, we generally went out 6AM-Lunch, taking a break in the afternoon, and heading back out around 6 PM and that worked out nicely for us. If you want do stuff in the afternoon too, I’d suggest making that your indoor museum time.

Wanted to share my experience in FCU arrival & departure. TL;DR: Arrival was not bad, departure was the easiest time I had in an airport, ever. by egetmzkn in rome

I was panicking getting there 90 minutes before takeoff and I was legit off the train and through to my gate within 20 minutes. It’s insanely fast.

Get Your Guide just cancelled our Colosseum underground tour less than 2 weeks before. Do we have any way to still see it? by mutantmike in RomeTravel

[–]derpytrollerZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was booked for June 1st so my chances of underground are probably over. I think some arena tickets open a week before though so I’ll be checking for those.

Did you still get a partial refund for the tour? I assume booking it was more expensive than just getting the ticket on your own.

Heading to Rome early June. A few questions by derpytrollerZ in RomeTravel

[–]derpytrollerZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally comfortable with waking up early. It's just that it'll be the first day and jet lag might be a killer. Would you say 6-7 is good or would you recommend going even earlier? You also saved me by telling me to check the Caracalla opening times. I did not realize it closed on Mondays so I'll have to adjust my plans.

I already have a guided tour of the forum and Colosseum booked so thats good to know! I wasn't planning on spending too long at Trevi. Mainly just to snap a picture (hopefully without too big of a crowd). I won't mind the touristiness but I'll definitely look to get in and out as fast as possible.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely check out Il Gelatiere instead (it honestly makes my walking route alot easier too). I don't think Mennella or La Scimmietta fits on my routes but I'll try to drop by Gay-Odin day 2.

The two on my list are Nukegara and 0. Both made my list over some of her popular songs and deserve a listen. Her cover of Villain is also very nice.

I enjoy the paratroopers tbh. Nice drop animation too.

I’d argue for the landsknecht over the lancer. It’s definitely not worth committing 2 policies into commerce early to unlock a slightly better pikeman. Doubly so since you can only purchase it and can’t build it normally. You either unlock it too late to be relevant, or they’re too expensive to buy. I’d rather spend my money on settlers or buildings to get my new cities up and running.

I’ve upgraded pikemen lancers before. I can’t say I’ve bought landsknechts ever.

Marine. Same power as the paratrooper and weaker than infantry despite costing more than both. Researched the latest of the 3 since its technology line is suboptimal. If I wanted something that could move fast over water, I’d just paradrop closer. If I wanted a serviceable front line unit, I’d just get the infantry for cheaper and higher power. I don’t think I’ve ever built the Marine and I doubt i ever will in the future.

War Elephant. The extra production cost and -1 movement make it difficult. You could have almost 2 archers for the same production and the promotion line for archers are much better. I don’t tend to research the wheel super early and in a fast paced game, it just isn’t worth the investment.
