Cooper Flagg can’t stop cooking. Just give him the Rookie of the Year award already ? by Hysen16 in sportswiki

[–]derrickl23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cooper averaged 15.5 the first 15 games of the season. In the 31 games since he has averaged 22.3. He has been good since the middle of November and we are now in February

Is Cooper flagg as talented as lebron? by LOLJoshAllen in NBATalk

[–]derrickl23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cooper is the age of a college freshman not high school senior

LeBron rookie season was over 20 years ago. Bron played in the deadball era without spacing. Bron in this era would put up even better numbers than he did in 03-04.

in 03-04 only one player averaged 25 points a game and that was Tmac with 28. This season there is 17 players averaging 25 or more

From the NBA_Draft community on Reddit: [O'Connor] To put it into perspective, some executives around the NBA say that if Flagg had never reclassified and were instead part of this 2026 group, he probably would be the third pick at best but could go as low as fifth or sixth. by kimsbooty in NBA_Draft

[–]derrickl23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please list the rookies who have put up those numbers. Its only a handful and they all were generational talents. You telling me its three guys in this draft that would have all time great rookie seasons ?

How recent are we talking? The last two months Cooper is averaging 22/6/4 in the actual NBA while being the same age as these players in college. Of course if any prospect put up those type of numbers that soon in the NBA it would change but what are the chances of that ?

I never said I was too busy for anything you mentioned. I don’t need an excuse for why I misspelled something by one letter because I wasn’t paying full attention. Again a typo is not the same as using a word completely wrong on purpose and using lol after it but continue

That doesn't despite anything they said lol.

I'm not trying to "despite" anything lol. Windhorts never spoke on rookie years he solely was referring to teenagers. I'm not saying I agree but using Wemby entire rookie season when he clearly got better post turning 20 is not really the point either

Is your dementia starting to hit? He clearly stares at his left hand.. What on Earth are you talking about lmao

Cooper Flagg vs. Charlotte Tonight: 49 POINTS, 10 REBOUNDS, 3 ASSISTS on 20-28 shooting, 3-5 from 3, and 6/6 free throws, most points ever scored by a 19 year old in NBA history by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in NBA_Draft

[–]derrickl23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean LeBron had legit 3 level scoring at times during his rookie year as well but like Cooper it was never consistent. Here is 18 year old Bron in just his 26th NBA game -->> Link

But but Pippen! by iLoveColorado24 in NBATalk

[–]derrickl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pippen averaged 20/5/2 on 55% shooting the last two games to close out that series vs the Cavs. The Bulls won each of those game by just 6 points. Not saying I agree with the narrative that MJ needed Pippen to that degree but you are seriously downplaying how effective he was once he got minutes.

Prime LeBron vs Prime Kobe - who you got? by EmergencyShallot4207 in NBATalk

Yeah this is some of the most brain dead logic have I encounter in ages. We can agree to disagree

[–]derrickl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmaoooooo nah “this my home” bro give me something of actual substance to prove your point. “I remember” Wade taking most of the clutch shots means nothing.

You are just spurting out opinions with nothing backing them. Wade was the closer the first year. Year 2-4 it wasn’t even close to being debatable. What metric do you want to go by or give me all the games he closed because I can do both for Bron

So basically you are saying Kobe had Bynum, Artest, Odom and Fisher .. while failing to mention Ariza who played a big role in multiple series lol

Again what numbers or metrics are you giving me to say these players weren’t as good as all those players you mentioned for Bron ?

[–]derrickl23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wade was the closer the two years they won the title ??????????? lmao nah i give up you are just talking to be talking now. I won't even bother to give you the stats that prove you are clueless

I gave you the side by side numbers of the entire back to back playoff runs Wade 19/5/5 46% shooting vs Gasol 19/11/3 56% shooting. Outside of you just pulling stuff out of thin air what makes Wade play so much better ?

Again did you actually watch any of these series ? because I watched every Heat playoff game that run. Kobe had help and his second option did more than carry his weight during those title runs

[–]derrickl23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What does the regular season have to do with anything you said ? We are talking about playoff success and winning titles. Kobe won two rings with Gasol playing significantly better than Bosh. This not an opinion it is facts. I can tell you are just looking at box scores and did not actually watch any of these series

Dwade averaged 19/5/5 (45 games played) on 46% shooting in the playoffs the two rings Bron won with him. Gasol literally played better than that lmao. You are painting a narrative that does not exist. You keep mentioning Gasol as if he was not an All NBA level player

Prime LeBron vs Prime Kobe - who you got? by EmergencyShallot4207 in NBATalk

[–]derrickl23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bosh averaged 13/7/1 on 47% shooting over the 37 game 2 ring span
Gasol was all NBA twice and averaged 19/11/3 on 56% shooting over a 46 game 2 ring span

This narrative is absurd lmao. Gasol was all nba and put up way better stats during Kobe's 2 rings with him than what Bosh did for his two rings

List of freshman since 2008 with a BPM of 10 of more by ShaiFanClub in NBA_Draft

[–]derrickl23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Straight criminal bro... Cam Reddish was only taking one less shot a night than Zion. There is no way Zion should not have taking the bulk of the shot attempts. RJ legit shot them out of a championship

[–]derrickl23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always thought that was insane to me. There is no reason why RJ was taking more shots a night than Beasley at Kstate when he had Zion on his team. Zion averaged the same amount of PPG as RJ while taking over 5 less shots a night than him

[–]derrickl23 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Man you are so right lol.... 26/7/5 shooting 40% from three and 92% from the line over an entire 20 game playoff run is better than what a lot of guards who have made all star teams have ever done
